Interesting to see if they're going to announce the terms. How much did they pay? Are they a broadcast partner like in the Fox days or is the APL / Paramount going to broadcast from NZ?
Its actually good NZ get free to air coverage of games since SKY are very greedy but as for payments they prob are paying the same scabby $150k a season.
I will literally only be using sky to watch the phoenix, probably the occasional other game too. I'd therefore rather not pay for sky starter and sky sports crica $60 per month
With MySky box, you may have to set two series links to cater for simultaneous games. I noticed the SYD-WSW game was being recorded but not the MVC-WUN game
The problem seems to be that games are not being shown on YouTube anymore. Hopefully it's just a one week thing, and they will be up and running from next week, but to be on the safe side I might pay for a month's worth of Sky Now and see how the situation evolves..
I just bought the $39.99 Monthly pass on Sky Sport Now. I thought I’ll get some kind of deal as ‘valued’ season member, but I could not find any information how to get that deal. This as the Campbelltown pitch of season Memberships. Update: I read the Phoenix membership renewal email again, they are not mentioning any Sky deals. I don’t know where people got the information for the $75 dollars till January. Maybe you get this as a current Sky box customer? Why then not for everyone? Member us member.
I got the Sky sport $40 monthly subscription too but I haven't had any time to watch any sport other than the Nix. I noticed when I was reading the TV guide on my phone, it gave me the option to record. Does anyone use this feature? It could be very handy for me to record the Serie A games and watch them at night after work. How would I go about watching something I recorded after accessing Sky from my Ps4?? Thanks

use it all the time, the linking between apps and tv box is awesome, Was watching the cricket, the football ferns and the nix this evening.
I'll try.. Roma are playing Inter at 6am tomorrow but Sky are showing it at 11 but I'm busy at that time... Going to see if I can either record on rewind and watch it some time tomorrow afternoon
Actually just had a play. Basically if you go to the Live TV tab, you can go back 24hr as has been mentioned here (which I didn't know about!) and watch a replay of something. This is gold!! Thanks so much team!
Another question for my Sky Now-savvy people... Tomorrow I'm going out to dinner so there's a chance I'll miss kick off. Is there a way to watch a program that has started but has not yet finished? I'm familiar with the rewind function but that only seems to work when a show has already finished? Thanks

Unless you've got the sky box thing to record the start of it you may be shark out of luck. I've only just signed up to the $39.99 p/m deal the other week (mostly for Nix and smatterings of other football content) but haven't yet worked out if there is a way to rewind it until the broadcast is already finished. Perhaps I'm missing something, although I think I've looked through all possible scenarios.
Perhaps hurry the dinner along to a conclusion when it starts ticking past 9pm? 😅
Either way good luck to you sir, and enjoy your dinner.

As long as you start watching the game during the game you should be able to rewind to the beginning of it by clicking at the start of the timeline at the bottom of the stream.
I'm not gonna be able to watch the nix game bang on kick off tonight. Does anyone know if I can rewind back to the start with my eyes not catching the score while the game is live or will I have to wait until the broadcast is finished to hop on a replay. I'm sure this conundrum comes up for me a few times a season but I never remember what my definitive solution turned out to be.

are you watching via stream or box? stream you can can start the stream and pause it for 2 hours. Otherwise its start the stream and "rewind" without looking at the score.
Sky having the EPL may improve the Phoenix & national team viewing figures? Because of all the EPL fans who will now subscribe to Sky Sport. I personally prefer having all the football I want to watch under one subscription. Especially with the World Cup coming up in November. Interesting: "The 2022/23 Premier League season will resume just eight days after the 2022 World Cup final as leagues around Europe take a mid-season break. The campaign will start on August 6, 2022 with a six-week break taken from November 14." If Spark had retained the EPL, they'd have had no football to screen for six weeks in November and December anyway.... Also, for the football they do have left, no UEFA club competitons are being held between November 3 2022 and February 14 2023 (three and a half months) So Spark are going to lose a lot of football subscribers, with few sunbscribing at all from November through to mid-February. UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2022 - 23: The 2022-23 Group Stages dates — all Tuesday and Wednesday evenings — are:
oh tough cookies for them - it's kinda of a "welcome to to the big league" from Sky, who clearly dropped their guard for a bit there and Spark snuck in but now with the new CEO Sky are fighting back and Spark had nothing to respond with.
Ok quick question. I have a Sky now subscription (no box, just watch online). I noticed they don't seem to be showing the Serie A live this season. But then I read somewhere that with the subscription I have you can also get BeIn Connect. Is that true? And is that the same as a normal BeIn sub? Basically! How can I do watch the Serie A or do I need to cancel my Sky account?

No mate, there's an app called bein sports connect. You download it and just login with your sky account
eeeek not a good look, although free subscription to SKy contect and Neon for all staff wouild be a significant cost. Better delivery might have gone down less horribly.
I bet the amount Sky paid for the management consultants to recommend they stop offering perks to staff probably dwarfed the cost of paying said perks.
It's cheaper to keep staff than it is to replace them, and perks and company culture are the things which keep people around even if pay is higher elsewhere.

I expect that the marginal cost to sky of an additional subscriber is quite low as their cost base is pretty fixed (broadcast rights, infrastructure and software development costs would be practically the same for 250,000 customers as for 251,000 customers)
There is a lost revenue cost, but really its nothing next to their total wage bill, it looks like they have ~ 1,000 employees, say 70% subscribed to Neon at $15/month now that they have to pay for it that's an annual lost revenue cost of $90,000.
Skys wage bill in 2022 was $75,294,000, so that's a whopping 0.11% saving there. Really not something to alienate your workforce over

I believe the issue is a hefty Fringe Benefit Tax bill - or what the consultants assumed was a hefty bill. I understand the consultants or HR leads who worked on this project didn't even speak to the person at SKY who does the FBT.
