Weird, my player caught for 3 yards in the red zone and seemed to get more points for doing so than an opposing player when he caught for the same outside of a red zone. 11.5 points in this game now. Could go to the wire!

That'd be because Sproles went from 57yds passing to 60yds passing (5pts to 6pts), while Hilton went from 10yds to 13yds (1pt to 1pt), as you only get a point when you make it to 10yds. 20yds etc

This is brilliant stuff. Sproles with a few more yards and MET now lead by 3.5

Ballgame is tied 27 - 27 with 3:25 left

Wow, that's a lot of points on the bench, I had a 10 and a 15 there.

I get the win courtesy of 3 big performances which netted 27 points, 30 points and Sproles got me home with 26.5 (plus 10 today from my Kicker).

Decent turn around and I go 2-0 but I'm concerned about having a pretty thin bench.

Nice come back. Have to concentrate on waivers and using that to build your bench.

Wouldn't of matter if he missed if I had put those damn players on the bench on the field!! lol

Not looking great for the likes of AP when companies like Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser) & others come out with strong statements about the NFL.  Could be an interesting week.

calls for immediate suspension are ridiculous.

I hate to see 'innocent before proven guilty' being diminished around the world lately. Trial by media and social media seems to be the way to go in a lot of people's eyes these days - annoys me so much.

Soooo much Tegal, it frustrates me. Yes it looks bad, yes the photos are bad, but we (And the US) have a justice system that is innocent until proven guilty, and it should be treated as such.

In saying that he will now be suspended as the Vikings, NFL & Adrian himself have all now had a Sponsor come out against it, the threat of monetary loss will end it. But the Rabid media saying he should be banned indefinitely before he is guilty is disgusting to me. Ben Roethlisberger served a 6 game suspension two-three years ago for a sexual assault, it was only being investigated at the time, and in the end the charges were dropped, but he was still suspended...

The Ray Rice case, there was no guilty verdict, but he admitted to having a problem and was going through courses etc (This is the same as guilty), and hence a punishment for him was fine (Think 2 games was too short, but also think fired & indefinite suspension was too much, especially as it goes against the new policy they made ie. 6 games for first offence), Rice is likely to win his appeal as proof will come out that NFL saw the video before they upped the suspension, or that Rice admitted punching her and knocking her out, meaning there is no grounds for a change of punishment.

Greg hardy - He has been found guilty, and appealed, at the time of the guilty verdict the NFL started to look at suspension, but have delayed it until such time as the appeal is finalised.

There have also been at least a dozen allegations of Rape against NFL & College players in recent years that have been investigated and then binned, you cannot start punishing people just because of an allegation or a charge, it's a terrible precedent to set.

Right back to Football...will try and update the games, and the table here later today...(Wed)

Then tomorrow round up any waiver pick-ups and look at the games coming this weekend....

Congrats to the Fairies, Tegal & Troopers for making it to 2-0 (Troopers with an insane MNF comeback). => I'll also have to try and do awards

NFLPA have officially appealed Rice's suspension, saying he is being punished twice for same crime, as NFL had already suspended him for 2 games for this, and then nothing changed and his suspension got extended...

Duh! Seriously Sporting Bodies in general are messed up, part of the ongoing problem is the agreements they have to sign with unions.

Reason why you get these crazy clauses is because otherwise they end up with lockouts.

Like the new Drug policy, reason it reduces a bunch of suspensions is because the NFL wanted HGH testing, so they had to give something up, in the end they gave up the rules around Substance abuse...LOL

I agree totally with what you are saying Jono. It's become trial by media and guilty until proven inocent. Which as you point out is dangerous as you are standing players down who may end up being found not guilty. So you have punished them for nothing.

Did Roethlisberger get any sort of compensation for the stand down?

With regards to football... well what do I try sign... Didn't really lose because of players I've got, more I lost because of players I didn't play.

Roethlisberger got no compo, and served the full ban as far as I remember, will search it a little later :)

Edit: Suspension was reduced to 4 games, charges were never laid. was the second time Sexual assault by Big Ben had been alleged, in neither case were charges ever brought.

I hear what you guys are saying, however it also isn't completely unique.  Quite often you hear of say Police Officers being stood down for a period of time while a case is being investigated (admittedly they are probably being paid during that time).

Actually think the fact this statement is signed by the Wilfs is a bit cheap...

They sent the GM & Coach to take the hits on Monday when they reinstated, and then the owners front doing what the public want, seems a bit off to me.

And here is the beginning of exactly what I said earlier -

Kristeena Spivey released a statement accusing Brandon Marshall of sexual assault on June 8, 2007

So this was a claim in 2007, as far as I can see there was a Protection Order put in place, Marshall was not charged, or arrested.

She says she called & Emailed the NFL, but nothing was done.

No statement from her friend who she claims was sexually assaulted.

Sorry for the lack of coverage this week, I’ve been feeling a bit off, and then all this distraction crap in the NFL has really made me angry. I watch sport for the Sport, and between Drugs, Violence and the S@#$ ar$e reporting of it going on, as well as the holier than thou attitude of some of the ex players who have not been the cleanest in their past, Ray Rice (Murder suspect) and others has really Got me annoyed. So on that note, lets just talk Football

Will now do some post updates on the results, the waivers, the next round, tables and the Top 10 at each main Position :)

Julio Jones is projected to score the most points for my opposition (Jono) this week.

Might anonymously go to the media and say he assaulted me, so that he gets stood down and I win the match-up.

*Not implying that the above cases are false, just poking fun at the precedent the NFL has set with their standing people down before they're guilty - and pointing out that it is open to abuse*
