It reeks of a rush job. I do expect it to get better but not before the Xmas break. 

What would be the point of putting anything on Sky Go anyway? Not like it would work.

I have to say I thought this would be frustrating me more than it is, but when I can go online and find the game ready for me to watch with English commentary after the fact without finding the score I'm in no rush to start paying the muppets who started this whole circus anyway.

With all due respect to Ligue 1 I wish they could ditch it and get Serie A instead. Imagine proper Bundesliga coverage as well, I appreciate the odd live game on Duke but it's not exactly comprehensive.

Cringe at Spurs being described as 'English giants' by a bein commentator, for goodness sake. Every player is a legend, every club is a giant, etc. Words thrown around so much they have no real meaning.

If you're not winning league titles in England and your name isn't Liverpool you can't reasonably be described as 'English giants'. Former giants, at a push.

Let me re-iterate my desire for a stadium noise only sound option. I don't want your stupid commentary, TV providers. A Team sheet before kickoff, and background noise only. I couldn't give a damn for any of the pre and post show rubbish.

I see that there is a one hour Premier League Highlights Show on Prime TV every Saturday at 4.30 pm.

For the very casual fan without Sky TV who just enjoys some free-to-air football now and again I guess it's a good thing, even if broadcast about six days after the round of matches featured.

TV One last year broadcast the highlights show at midnight on a Wednesday night which at least was sooner after the round of games, even if only the dedicated would bother to record it.

At 4.30 pm on a Saturday it will attract more casual viewers and promote football a bit I suppose.

Ah, just like the days of "Big League Soccer" with Brian Moore in the 70's and 80's when that one hour highlights show was the only regular football on NZ TV - and also broadcast a week after the round of games featured. So you'd hear the English football results on Sunday morning on National Radio or read them in Monday's paper - and still enjoy the highlights the following Sunday lunchtime.    

Good to see they've still got a live Bundesliga game every weekend free-to-air on Duke plus the Bundesliga Highlights Show during the week.

Fudge me beIN sports are incompetent fudgewits! Almost October and still no release date for beIN connect. I've Facebook messaged and tweeted them a couple of times since the season started and all I get back is some copy and paste BS saying they realise there is an appetite for an online service and are working hard to announce a release date. For a global company it shouldn't be to hard to get an Internet streaming site set up. Absolutely sick of using dodgy streams to watch games , thinking about forking out skys ridiculous rates just to be able to watch some footy. Bring back PLP!

I wonder if in the contract between BEIN and the PL there is a duty of care to the PL product? Could they possibly be in breach of their contract as the PL brand isn't getting the treatment it deserves?

I doubt there would be any breach of contract. It's annoying that the online service doesn't seem to be coming any time soon, or even at all for all we know and that some games haven't been screened live. But every game has been made available to view in some way (either, live on TV or Sky Go, or delayed on TV) haven't they? What other treatment would the Premier League want?

If the premier league don't care about what optus have done in Australia they won't care about not having beIN connect not working in NZ.

I can't prove this but I also don't actually think they really give two tosses about coverage in this region anyway - i know when PLP had the rights the Premier League had actually sold the rights to a broker who was onselling them to NZ as well as a few other countries, if the same thing happened in this cycle then surely that shows they are just after the broadcast money and are not bothered with how that gets delivered.

Just checked their Facebook page for an update: there is no confirmed date.

Their social media managers job is to copy and paste, "we cannot confirm" over and over. Sweet gig.

They have just said on Facebook they expect connect to be launched this month but can't confirm a date.

Did they confirm they meant October 2016? or could it be "This month" next year?

As far as I can tell, nope...

It's on Channel 266 (Bein 1) only. And that channel is not available on Skygo... checked pop-ups etc and it doesn't appear to be showing on any other channel.

Most watched domestic game in the world and they are showing rugby and league replays. WTF!

You should complain to bein - they have obviously pulled the pin on sky's streaming rights before they have even got their own platform up. Will it even be up by Christmas?

What games have ever been available on SkyGo this season?

I thought they were only showing games on Bein or Bein pop-ups (none of which are available on SkyGo), and then if there happened to be too many games at once even for that, then they would show additional games on Sky pop-up channels where necessary - those games would be available on SkyGo, but only by pure coincidence, not by design.

So this game never would have been on SkyGo (it's on Bein 1), even if what Sky have said to Leighbo is true?

How often do "games of the season" end up as crap dull and boring affairs? Especially in the EPL???

Aside from getting the system live this is the feature that will make or break it for me.
