Not a must win. They can go through with a draw, largely because they have a better head-to-head record than the other two teams on 6 points.

Predictably dull 1st half, both teams with half an ear on the other game and neither wanting to commit themselves.

Sounds like they can get thru with a draw if Seoul win, who are currently 1-0 up at home

As it stands, CCM would face WSW in the Round of 16

That's right. The onus is on Sanfrecce to up the tempo so things should start to heat up in the 2nd half.

That last minute Hutchinson own goal last week could end up being very costly for CCM.

Seoul 2-0 up, CCM need to roll this out onto the park

Must admit when Griffiths was subbed on it was a real WTF? moment for me. Dumb stuff.

....And that's pretty much good night nurse for CCM.

I'm amazed he didn't bring Ibini or Duke on immediately after the goal. Cernak has been knackered for the last 15 minutes.

Finally Cernak's subbed off for Duke. Too little, too late.

And CCM are out, only WSW left to represent the A-League.

And it was.

I suppose hindsight's a wonderful thing but Moss made some very strange tactical decisions. Taking Bosnar off, his most experienced defender, for Griffiths, inexperienced and frankly a bit error prone was puzzling to say the least. As was not throwing on a fresh attacker at least 10 minutes earlier.

He was probably looking ahead to the WSW game on the weekend. They need to win that to qualify for next seasons ACL.

Tough assignment for WSW away against Sanfrecce tonight. Nine changes to their starting lineup from the grand final on Sunday.

HT 0-0

Pretty dull stuff. An even game so far, lots of errors, a lightning fast surface.

WSW down 2-0, quality goal for Sanfrecce's 2nd.

Very soft penalty for WSW, this could be a huge lifeline

Huge bit of luck. They've been blown away this half.

Maybe it was soft but it looked like a deliberate trip to me. Not biased obviously!

I was going off the commentators tbh, got a stream up but naturally all the action happens when I'm on a different tab. Haven't seen a full replay yet.

Fark, that is horrendous defending. That's just flushed their ACL chances down the toilet.

And WSW are into the final on away goals, after a 2-1 loss overnight.

Semi final that is. A good effort to get through but I thought they were a bit lucky overall.

it is amazing how teams like WSW and Adelaide have had success with their salary caps.  good on them

I think it comes down to the style of football they play. Adelaide under Vidmar & Kossie were defensive and looked to hit on the counter, very much like WSW under Poppa.

In a rather surprising turn of events, it sounds like its been a rather dour first half with a lot of bus parking by WSW

Ends 0-0, Seoul had no idea how to breakdown the WSW defence WSW kept letting them get in behind their fullbacks and forcing them into aimless crosses into the box. WSW almost never concede goals from crosses into the box. Covic did make a few good saves from shots outside the box.

they are doing well, i think the a-league has grown alot and hope it competes better in tournaments like this. don't like WSW but they are doing the a-league proud.  they are playing the type of football an aussie team needs to play to do well in this tourney
