So this means Carlsberg instead of Tui on tap at the stadium.
Would have thought unlikely they'd forsake the sponsor value of a beer brand.

The Carlsberg Arena (Petone).
Has a nice ring to it.
Independant are the only mainstream "brewer" that's spending $$$$ at the moment. DB/LN are maintain the status quo but not doing much new stuff (in the sponsorship space)... Independant are trying/hoping to take them on.
Sh!t beer tho.

It might be direct ie from Europe rather than through IL
My source says IL.
The Football Utd tour could well be a factor for Euro market though
Very highly unlikely.
So you reckon Coopers is involved?
So Nightz, when do we start the clock for you? You say when and we'll be all go. You want a piece of this too nufc? C'mon, let me see the fibre of your fabric lads.
It could well be for the Football United Tour only - I don't have that level of detail but it could well marry in with this anti alcohol sponsorship as it's not 'in season'. I heard the brand and vendor and that it was all hush hush. Not so hush hush as they would like.

Ryan, there is worse. Lion Red for starters followed by Lion Brown, followed by DB, followed by DB export, followed by Leopard Lager followed by......

this escalated quickly
Does anyone actually know what the FFA anti-booze thing means (for us) if in place still?
No Export 33 on the shorts. Or visible signage at Nix games

All sponsorship deals to do with the Nix weather for League games or any other games need to be approved by FFA.
Get ready to disappear for a month.

Businesses can sponsor the weather now? Mean.
"This sunny patch is brought to you by the Cancer Society"
You'll need deep pockets if you're sponsoring wind or rain!
"This rain affected muddy patch is brought to you by Tawa AFC and Redwood Park"

Heard more details. Is for the football united tour AND regular season. Appears to be a 1 year deal.
This thread = best entertainment in the off-season thus far
I'm not so sure about that Paul... the Capital 1 thread has had some quality entertainment in it over the past few weeks.
Thanks for the hot tip, and wow, what a thread that is! lolz galore
As for the FFA booze ban, I reckon it is just as they say - "against binge drinking".
So I do not know what the fuss is about. I tried binge-drinking Tui once, and had to stop after one bottle, as my senses rebelled against the taste of fermented muck . Now, if the sponsorship was by our own Harrington's (here in ChCh), that would never get past FFA. I could easily binge on Harrington's. They used to make cheap & nasty flagon-style stuff some years ago, but now they're a craft brewery extraordinaire.
