2 goals on debut from my new midfielder. great start to the season with 4 from 4, but things get tougher next week, where we go in as underdogs, haveing played 4 times losing all 4
League Banter - The Matchday thread
Well my first win of the season comes with a 3-0 forfeit...
Another 6-0 win, Melddahl with another hat-trick, now have a GD of +17 in the first four games. Hoping this may finally be the season I can get that automatic promotion.
Another win for the B's!! 3-2 win, Hyde with two, he now has three goals in four games, getting unreasonably optimistic about him, still only 16.
first loss. went down 2-0 early and had my best player injured before bringing it back to 2-2. later conceded 2 late goals to lose 4-2 with my keeper having a shocker..
Does anybody watch their games live? I remember there used to be quite a bit of live banter in this thread a while back.
I actually really enjoy watching the games live, but never really manage to since I work 5 nights a week and usually train the other 2.
I see they're working on the ability to make live subs, tactic changes etc too. That'll be awesome, and potentially change the game a lot. You'll still be able to set up conditional orders to automatically happen when you aren't online of course.
I usually watch for about 30 minutes, depending on whether I have stuff to write or not, but I'm not usually online at 10.45 or whenever the games would end so I figure I'll just watch it in full the next day. Perhaps when it shifts back to 8pm or 7pm with Daylight Savings or whatever it is I may watch them all live, the ability to change things up live would definitely be an incentive in that regard.
When it's our winter I watch live, but when it starts at 9pm I have no chance, during the week I am up at 5am, so early to bed for me...
I often watch live. I loved this thread when several of us were posting during the games. I like the live interaction option. Can't wait
i watch live on occassion like most I find the 9pm kick off horid
Games starting at 9.30pm tonight... which is odd, but mine is hung and still at "starting in ..."
Shut my browser down and reopened it and it was working. 1 - 0 up at half time too, and The Steam Engines are up 2 - 0 against Team Wellington...
got a good 3-1 win tonight away from home against a good team. puts me in 3rd with 5 wins 1 loss
Another two goals for Ivan Hyde, thats five in six games for the 16 year old now. I'm loving this new B-team dominated division.
AD Fafe visit Homebush Road tonight...
Grrrr, tough match for my team of underperformers, desperately needing a win.
A big crowd in here at The Bush.
Dudanec and Kofoed put the Trains 2 - 0 up after 13 mins
Trains 4 - 0 up after 35 mins, and the Filfh are down to 10 men.
Lofty heights for the B's:
And the classic 16 year old making a move in the goalscoring rankings:
A 3-1 loss last night has meant I drop to 5th. Had a tough couple of weeks with a few injuries but back to fitness so hope for a result this week
Haha that is a lot of trophymanager tabs you had open there
Hoping for a SIGNIFICANT boost to The trains' goal difference tonight.
starting well 3-0 up away from home.
let in 2 late goals but still took the victory 4-2
Great 2-1 win over a good defensive squad, 86th minute winner to keep me well in the top four, that's the third game in a row I've won 2-1 against the same opponent. Important game next against the fifth placed side.
0 - 8 win away against Studsup City.
Unfortunately, they seem to be well named, and we picked up two injuries to defenders, but luckily both are only out for a week each.
14 shots on target but their keeper was on fire saved everyone.... they were mostly to corners aswell
sitting 5th at the moment, only one point off first. I seem to alway have great starts to the season but bomb out in the run home.
Revenge gained on the side who knocked me out of the cup last season, 1-0 win to move to second on the ladder.
another loss, 2 late goals gave them a 2-1 win. down to 8th on the table
The Trains are going for their 5th League win in a row tonight. At home to OM BLack 26.(First meeting between the two teams)
2-1 up at home at halftime. doing well dominating. but hope to make it a bit safer early in the second
1 - 1 at Homebush Road at half time.
ended up with a nice 4-1 win. back to 5th now
The Trains are going for their 5th League win in a row tonight. At home to OM BLack 26.(First meeting between the two teams)
As I typed that I thought "Martin Crowe, on 299, about to become New Zealand's first batsman to score 300 runs in a test innings... oh, no he's not! He's out!"
Bloody commentator's curse. 1 - 1 draw final score. Somehow?
Checked in to watch my game v Peow.... and it's a 3-0 forfeit. OK, then!
Another win. Sitting around that last playoff spot with a big match coming up this week
The Trains win 0 - 1 away at top of the table Los Halcones Locos! Yusss!
