Just trying predict what nadal's excuse might be.
Djo in 4. Then he'll be close to a career grand slam.
Leggy then added
Good to see that football is not the only thing you know SFA about.
funny how things turn out.
Yeah but come on foal, even you surely know Leggy is an old fossil who surely isn't too far away from kicking the bucket (thankfully).
Perhaps like you Buffy I could be lying about where I live, my age and my name.

Suggest you read what I did say. It had nothing to do with Djo winning. It was to do with Paralympics.
Just on a point raised earlier, top women's players wouldn't even come close to beating top men's players. A few years ago Venus and Serena both got hammered by a men's player ranked between 300-400. And, has this been one of the greatest tennis years ever by Novak? Definately ranks up there
Oh yes, definitely ranks up there. Tremendous. Good to see too. For years he has been there and thereabouts, but was just stuck behind the top two most the time. This year he blew Nadal and Federer away (who are sometimes called the two greatest ever).
Well its a Murray v Djok semi, so the final will involve one of Fed/Nadal/Tsonga/other contender. Hard to go past Djokovic when picking heads-up
Are they?
Surely no one is suggesting Murray will actually win it?
yes. New coach is a very canny selection.
Australian Open is possibly to early but by the time it rolls around to Flushing Meadows this might be the year Murray (and by extension GB) finally gets a Grand Slam tournament win.

He won't ever win a major
Novak got this.
This man knows.
If Murray doesn't win it, hopefully Novak does. Him and Murray are the best two personalities of top tennis (well Tsonga as well for his personality on court).
All the English men and women already out after day 1 as per usual.
Come again?
Hoping Tsonga does the business this time.
Hoping Tomic can give Federer a good match.
Not looking likely
Nadal looking betterbut novak matching him.
Nadal's not big on excuses, he is a great role model for young sports people.
congrats to Djo, 2 fine matches back2back and arguably the strongest calendar year in tennis history, maybe only Lendel and Sampras (and possibly Johnny M???) been this good in a row.
A great day for Serbia.

Very happy that I got to see Djokovic play at Flushing Meadows this year.
Not so happy to be at work now having snoozed six times this morning.

I see Mr Smug Federer who always criticises other players for pulling out of tournaments through injury pulled out of his match against Tsonga this morning because of injury. What happened to real men playing through the pain barrier Roger!
Murray getting Lendl in as coach might finally get him over the line
foal tips Serena and Murray for Australian Open

Looking forward to the Aussie Open. I think it's my favorite of the Grand Slams due to the times it's on. Get to see a good deal of it.
Yea, I see it as being between Murray and Djokovic. It's doubtful as to what condition Federer and Nadal are in.

I think Tsonga is in the Djok / Murray half. Someone like Berdych could be a chance in the Fed / Nadal half though.

It will be awesome for Scotland when he finally wins a major. The English only like him reluctantly because he's so good, but half don't really like him.
as for Berdych, I can't see it - too inconsistent. Murray keeps slightly improving and getting close, but I don't like him so lets hope not

Murry is the biggest twat on the tour. Who kisses their bicep to celebrate a point win? lol
Murray's got a great cheeky dry sense of humour, I guess that why him and Novak are good mates. I agree the bicep thing was a shocker though. Murray's got a bad reputation in New Zealand as well after saying in the Auckland tournament on court after the match that him and his opponent played like girls.
He's currently 3-5 down against Harris. Go the yank
Murray loses first set. Game on!

Tomic was being overhyped all along, but still a good performance by Federer
Tomic is very good, but not the complete package yet. I'm no big Aussie tennis player fan, and hate Hewitt, but from what I've seen of Tomic, he does have a lot of potential.
Yes I agree, but he was being called 'a giant-killer' when he beat Verdasco who gave up, Querrey who has been rubbish for over a year, and Dolgo who was taken to 5 sets by Greg Jones and Tobias Kamke.
Certainly should be a top-10 player however

I for one am glad Tomic is out. Can't stand the little c**t.
