things that rule
Lemme guess...
"I'm American, and I'm sick of people saying America is "the stupidest country in the world."
Personally, I think Europe is the stupidest country in the world."
Victor Matheson, a sports economist from the University of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts, was one of three experts the Herald on Sunday asked to cast their eyes over the much-touted economic benefits of hosting RWC 2011. He seemed surprised when he came across the claim that 238 countries tuned in to watch the last tournament in France.
"Considering the United Nations recognises only 192 nations in the world, Deloitte has apparently invented over 40 new countries, all of which seem to be rugby fanatics," he says.
Getting to the root of this odd claim doesn't involve inventing nations like Ruckistan or Maulovia. Deloitte says it relied on figures provided by the International Rugby Board while the IRB, for its part, say Deloitte converted "broadcast territories" into "countries".
But it is characteristic of the woolly numbers and boosterism that litters discussion about the cup."
Peace ??
Loved the 4 by 2 sketch

...and it looks like the Phoenix have the week off.
F*cking awesome episode of Jack Rabid's radio show "Rabid In The Kennel" here. Featuring an interview with Leatherface, plus heaps of old and new tracks from Leatherface plus associated bands like Doctor Bison, Jesse, Pope, Wat Tyler, China Drum etc. There's even some Ruts and D.O.A! Over an hour of pure punk rock pleasure.
A couple of my favourite tracks from the new album:
Never Say Goodbye
Broken

No mention of Wellington as per f**king usual.
That radio show I put the link up for kicks off with Springtime. Awesome song - everything you ever need to know about Leatherface in 3 minutes flat.

Listening, weeping on other side of partition.
Security relents because guest list didn't turn up.
Last 3 songs of Leatherface set and then Snuff headlining for the first time.
Purchased 'Don't fear the reaper' cover flexi (only 1000 pressed).
Driver breaks collarbone after being 'danced' upon.
5 hour drive home in back of dodgy van with guy who passed his test day before...on his 7th attempt.

I've just realised the whole show is downloadable as an MP3 file, which I am doing right now (hit the "download" button, duh!).
Seems to be working, big file though...
Someone on a video called "Billionaire" about someone.... who wishes they were a Billionaire:
This song is so emotional for me! Brings a tear to my eye thinking about how I'm not a billionaire.
