Some of it does resemble katakana (I used to be quite good at Japanese but haven't used it since leaving high school), but I'm pretty sure it doesn't actually mean anything.

The 'C' kind of looks like the Kanji for 'Kan' ie Period of time. The 'K' looks like 'Dai' ie big or large. And the '!' could be the Kanji for 'ichi' or one.
I never learned Kanji, I only did it for a year (and to be honest I never actually attended school very often) because I went to Japan a couple of times with my school + had a Japanese girlfriend for like 4 months. I can only remember words now, rather than the written language.
It is a commercial partner for the nix. But topping that is its Junior Golf Academy run on Sundays for kids.
Run in 8 week modules (one each school term) it only costs $20 per module (+$5 for a junior academy cap). Golf clubs provided and the coaches provide time for the kids gratis.

Florence and the Machine. Echo and the Bunnymen. The xx. Cut Off Your Hands. Daniel Johnston. The Phoenix Foundation. Laneway Festival in general. Absolutely brilliant.
