Can you confirm who and if they will be playing this season?
So start your own forrum for masters allstar team then!
these players would be up there for selection in my mind!! have
gone with quite alot of youth for future. tawa keeper or jamieson
(wairarapa) goalkeepers, also young james from lower hutt -
defenders n.barclay & lane (petone), fijian centre back, scott
jnr (lower hutt) , stu neal (kapiti) also fraser colson and luke
wilson as younsters! midfielders - shugg (tawa), Czech lad
(wairarapa) rowan (petone), wharfies centre mid, roddy brown
(wests), african guy (lower hutt), ben (petone) rich mclay
(petone), simon millynn (lower hutt), besims younger brother (lower
hutt)
Centre backs would have to be Lane and N. Barkley from Petone. Both
6 foot plus, neither short on pace, solid in the air, good in the
tackle, read the game well and fearless. They can both score goals
too.
Mmmmm
Champs Premier League Squad of the Year
16 players in the Squad of 2007
4 Strikers 5 Midfielders 5 Defenders 2 Keepers!!!
From the 10 teams in the mighty Premiership can we pick a
quality squad that wud make us proud to take on the Northern
Premier selection???
Fire away peeps!!!
..you will need some experience in there Yugo
I vote Besim for coach - I hear he works best with young
boys.
Quite simple really the complete Petone
squad because they are a class above anything else in that
league...The rest are has beans.... And I hear Petone have just
made 3 rather class signings.
So they well be guaranteed winning the
play offs now..
Petone put on a good show at their clubrooms on Saturday night as
well. They seem solid ON and OFF the pitch.

OK so I know who but will they be playing?
who are they then toffs?
Come on peeps!!!
Lets start with the keepers aye...
A superb gk this year has been Lance Ramaekers from
Tawa.
Jake Gleeson from Wests also.
Petone have been streaks ahead of the rest as a team but if you
were to have a champs premier selection team (which we
are!) then in certian positions they dont have the best player
in the league.
For example Goal Keepers would be:
Lance Remarkers and that idiot Jameison from wairarapa I hate
to admit is one of the better Keepers in this league.
I beleive the names were mentioned earlier (in another thread) but
not sure if they will actually play due to the new regulations of
only playing in 2 teams in the year. Two could possibly be invloved
in the 'nix and possibly TW for all three. Toffeeman2007-07-09

Lance Ramakers from Tawa is a definite for GK - easily the best in the league. The kid Pickering from Petone. Darren Johnson from Wharfies.
I think that Upper Hutt goalie is not to bad either. He does hell
of alot of work for them. He dont get much help from his defence.
Think his name is Dave Emmens
Michael Greene from Waterside has to be considered, as does Sam
Buckle from Brooklyn.
For both of them to still be playing at their age is a hell of
an achievement.
Did I see Buckle scored at the weekend as well ?
i think i'd be a shoe in personally. im quite a handy footballer,
known to hold a tune or 2 in the singing department....which is
crucial for any all-star team
I'm more interested in the Champs Premier League Masters B-team
squad? Any standouts?
So start your own forrum for masters allstar team then!
I'm a little bit shy, and I wanted to first of all test the
idea, see if there was any interest? If there is, I'd be quite
excited about starting my very own string.
So, what is the general opinion? Is there merit in me starting
a NEW string that asks:
Who are the old players in the Champs Premier League who
aren't good enough to make the first oldies squad, but are not so
bad you would select them in the third oldies squad (ie they would
be good enough for the second oldies squad).
Just to clarify - a squad equals 14 players (not including
managers, but i would be interested in the second best old physio
in the League).
How about a Champs Premier Golden Oldies (over 35) team. There are
a few contenders Im sure. Other wise back to the main point.
You'd be hard pressed to drop any of the Petone players for a
Prem XI. Maybe just strenthen the squad with the like of a
reserve keeper, and another striking option. Some of the Wairarapa
imports may push hard and there must be some good players at
Warfies. Toffeeman2007-07-09 15:13:20
In terms of the youngies, Gleeson in goal has to be tops - who got
time on his side, offers quite a bit - height, courage and great
anticipation. Its gotta say something when Wests against talley is
2nd only to Petone and thats considering Wests are mid field in
Prem League - gotta say something! Blair Maclean in midfield has
shown patches too. Pickers at Petone also has to be a standout as
well - that kid has come on well - should be playing central league
(maybe that will happen with Petone for next year) - watch for him
at Team Wellington. Admir at Lower Hutt has been more agressive
this year - maybe a point to prove?
The Petone keeper is average. Troy Burling from Upper Hutt could
make it as the same for there two new signings of Wayne and Matt
Bennett. Dave Lane as captain
Interesting call on Bennet and Rooker considering theyve only played a couple of games, but they are definitely quality. Burling also playing well.
Also Jono Sole from Wharfies should be at right back, quick as anything and having a blinder of a season.
shouldnt talk yaself up too much soley, thats my job.
haha this isnt Soley u tool!
That was merely an observation as Im an independent watcher of
the Champs prem league.

strikers - woody (tawa), whitmarsh (petone), peter rabo ( best
player in league)(wairarapa), marco (wests), troy (upper
hutt)
To qualify should have played at least 6 games... so no Rooker,
Bennet or Roy Clarke.
Gleeson by far best keeper. Will star at the World Cup... like
Spoonley he will be a busy boy.
thats team sucks - this team would kill yours
-------------------------------------Jamieson-----------------------------------------

------------Mike Greene---------Sam Buckle-------Mark

--Paul Whitmarsh-----------------Peter

coach Barry Truman
impact bench player: Merrick Keenan
I've just conservatively added together the ages of that
team. I get 404 (not including Merrick). Superb!
Miramar Rangers started against Wests this season with a midfield
with the total age of 100.
And they only had 3 players in midfield
strikers - woody (tawa), whitmarsh (petone), peter rabo ( best
player in league)(wairarapa), marco (wests), troy (upper
hutt)
Wharfies are coming second might I remind you...lets look at
performances not reputations
go on!2007-07-09 20:42:18
Butters + Batty + Jones = 100
karori nobody from karori even comes close hahaha tht right back
theres a tui add for you carney
2nd not for long
Haha Feverish magical side mate!!!
U guys wud b competitive till halftime then u shud get the
beers out instead of the haltime refreshments!!!
Mmmmm
So at this point it looks like Lance Ramaekers is the number
one keepers choice despite being a garden gnome!!!
Gleeson and Jamieson fighting it out for a RGK jersey!!!
Moving onto Centre backs...
Im definitely selecting the Wairarapa Central defender
(Fijian)
Hes quality
Man that guy is huge - that Fijian does not look like there is an
once of fat on that frame - very scary - sign him for Team
Wellington!!! And his Fijian mate up front looks like the goods
too!!

yet again Jiz is shooting from the hip without really thinkin what
he's saying! the funniest thing is that I started playing in the
Premier League 7 years ago....u wudve been like....9?? 10
maybe??
Karori do have some very good players in their ranks. Johnno Sole would probably walk into any Central League side, but he prefers to play at Wharfies so good on him. James Potter is another with talent to burn as well as Peewee. If it was me picking the side, those 3 would start every game without a doubt.
Still got love for the Wharfies boys!
