Sorry if i have offended some people with my post that wasnt my intention and i certainly understand those who support the Phoenix from outside Wellington and respect their opinions.
However i reserve the right to hold true to my feelings that the club was started as the Wellington Phoenix and despite being a travelling circus to this date that is still our name. Dont try and tell me that had it been Christchurch Phoenix or Auckland Phoenix that some of you wouldnt have been as passionate about it staying that or you wouldnt hate the continued increase in travelling home games.
Have to put my hands up and admit that part of my frustration this season our 10th sees 4 games away and some pretty shabby treatment from the club despite their claims that they are dealing with fans better.So that along with the crap about the Phoenix fund and the bloody Phoenix continually sending emails imploring me to buy this membership or that membership despite the fact im a bloody foundation member who has current membership.
As i have said elsewhere if they want to turn us into the travelling Phoenix while i wont be happy thats fine just dont try and sell it to us as the Wellington Phoenix then continually threaten us about crowds. They asked a lot of the fan base last year and got it back in spades and i for one dont think they have paid back that support by any measure.
Jag i have never questioned the support of those outside of Wellington and i acknowledge the steps some take to support them but it must also be admitted that those people are supporting the Wellington Phoenix.
All good, mate. As I said earlier, I can understand how people feel and I've been a staunch advocate of the Nix not taking too many games outside Wellington etc, and I still am. Just think that the map thing is being blown up out of proportion in this case.

The more I think about it, the 10th Anniversary jersey would actually look quite cool if there was no advertising on it. Not a reflection on the sponsors but I think the large logo spoils it.

I haven't actually read this thread, so this may have been well covered, but why are we doing 10th anniversary shirts now? It's like getting your 10th birthday presents when you're just over 9 & 1/4. I seem to remember it all kicking off in August 2007.
Am I missing something?

Yea so 17/18 will be our 11th season meaning 16/17 is our 10th.
The seasons crossing over years always throws me off.
Everyone in the match day squad except Mossy had the 10 year anniversary shirt. Seems odd they didn't do one for the keeper.

Hey, at least we managed to talk Domey out of calling the November 19 game against Victory the "10 year celebration" game. That should be the game against Jets in late March, just one day after the actual 10 year anniversairy of the announcement of the club.

That's way less time in the season to be able to sell the shirt though.
I feel like we need to revamp the old designs, like the 2010 shirt. I don't like spikes on my Phoenix, it should be the classic black and yellow stripes on the whole shirt, which means not leaving the sleeves out. Because I swear, each year the kit gets less and less black on it. I would like the same idea of the 2008 kit for the away kit. I just don't think the current shirts look like something would wear.

Just some ideas. In my last post I wanted the stripes on the arms but the kit maker (Adidas mi Team) have no options that let me. Use the site to come up with your own ideas. http://www.miteam.adidas.co.nz/ . I thought I'd mix up the colour scheme on the top left one. Top middle and bottom left are obviously based on the original kit. Top right is the classic one but with a black sleeve, I wanted the stripes to be bigger but there arent any bigger ones. Bottom middle and bottom right I just improvised.

An integrated, classy sponsor logo makes all the difference.
The only thing I hated with that kit is the back. The sides messed with the stripes.

That's always going to happen. The current sponsor isn't going to make way for the old one to come back, unfortunately.
