It has already been said : Independent Liquor / Carlsberg
Phoenix Sponsorship
It is also not entirely wise to give details away in situations like this. Everyone, protect your sources!
Heard more details. Is for the football united tour AND regular season. Appears to be a 1 year deal.
Here we go again.... Who is it specifically ? Name them or stfu. I'm tired of your BS.

Seems about 4/5 people have heard the same thing - some have mentioned it and one can't read it.
Mods, take control!
Has nufc been censored from grown-up posts?
And here I was hoping it would be "Budweiser, the King of watery Beers". :(

If you were taking the piss, it didn't even slightly show through. Think you're the one embarrassing yourself (yet again)
Jesus wept etc.
Calm yourselves please children. Or I will wield the banstick.
Alcohol puts plenty money into sport so hopefully the FFA stops treating the league like a kindergarten and booze companies can be sponsors again.
They take just as much money from the anti-alcohol deal. That's the whole point. I think its a good initiative.
Next step is to get rid of gambling odds being a key part of broadcasts of sport.
Watching online feeds of the British Sky Sports is excruciating with the constant betting ads. I used to not really care about Ray Winstone, now I want him to die an agonising death.
Why Tegal? Can't see the issue with having odds shown on games.
I doubt the anti-alcohol money would go on forever, where do these campaigns even get their money?
Bottom line is I have no issue with alcohol or gambling ads and am not a fan of being treated like I'm too irresponsible to have these products advertised to me.
Agree Steve-O

Would you be happy with tobacco sponsorship then?

Steve-O, the money comes from the Australian government, and a few other sources iirc such as fundraising etc. I read an article that interviewed the woman behind the program and it was very interesting. Sadly I can't seem to find it - if anybody knows the article I'm talking about then it'd be great if you could post it.
I did find this though, which gives an overview LINK
Rumour of a new sponsor on board? A famous beer brand?
Rumour??
Only a fool would believe that. Have a look at the A-League partners and it is obviously just a silly rumour that only an idiot would post.
How about this Vader.
If its true I wont post on the forums for 3 months.
If its false you will crawl back under your rock and not post for 1 month.
Have you got the balls?

An hour 40min after I post you have the cheek to tell me to "fuck off"
I've been a little more fair and patient with you.
Its been 9 days, Time for you to "fuck off" Vader.
Come now. I never supplied details of when it was being announced and nether has anyone else thats heard the same story but I stand by what I have said absolutely. Just to humour you if we don't hear anything by start of September, then I'll walk. If anything pops up after that, you can take a hike.
I feel pretty good about that.
If it is a brewery, Season Ticket holders should be allowed one free beer per home game. Anyone else support this idea?

What if as part of our season pass package, we purchase a prepaid pass for beer? Would that scoot around the liquor laws?
That said, we've had alcohol kit sponsors in the pass and that has resulted in a total of zero free beer, and we've got the same amount when the Nix have signed supplier deals, so there's next to no chance of it being offered in my opinion.

Think there would be frigid liquor law issues stopping that.
Pretty close to it. I'm still deciding which is smaller though. The ticket cardboard or the plastic bottle? Be a close call.
Nix sign is gone from outside The Grand.
BTW- Four Kins opens this Sat (probably)
I got banned for a week for telling some guy to "fuck off". JV has said it twice now and no one bats an eyelid.......

CARLSBERG JOINS FOOTBALL UNITED TOUR
A special one-day ticket deal is being offered to Auckland football fans this Friday to celebrate the announcement of the Football United Tour’s principal partner, international beer giant, Carlsberg.
Football United Tour host, Wellington Phoenix said the deal is on a strictly limited number of tickets for the West Ham United v Wellington Phoenix match at Eden Park on Wednesday July 23.
“Carlsberg is one of the world’s great beer brands and is synonymous with football so we are delighted that we’ve secured Carlsberg’s partnership for the tour,” Wellington Phoenix General manager, David Dome said.
On this Friday, 1,000 tickets only will be sold for $25 (plus booking fee) and will be made available through GrabOne.
Dome said that Carlsberg’s extremely generous offer to subsidise tickets to the Auckland match is indicative of their commitment to the Tour and their desire for as many New Zealanders to be part of the unique sporting event.
“$25 to see an English Premier League side is outstanding value and is a fraction of the cost you would pay to see West Ham play in London,” Dome said.
“We are thrilled that not only will Carlsberg be the principal partner of the Football United Tour, but also that Carlsberg will be available for purchase at every game in the Tour.
“This is the first time Carlsberg has been available for purchase at a football match in New Zealand.”
Carlsberg has a rich history with football and is the current official beer partner of the English Premier League, national teams of England, Denmark and Switzerland, club sponsors of Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Toronto FC and sponsors of the UEFA Cup and Super Cup.
Carlsberg New Zealand’s Ben Shaw said they are delighted to be bringing world class football to New Zealand.
“Carlsberg sponsors some of the very best in football all around the world and the visit of two quality English Premier League sides in West Ham and Newcastle United is a fantastic opportunity for New Zealand and we wanted to be a part of it,” Shaw said
Dome said the Club was delighted it could meet fans’ demand for alternative beer options on game day and that Carlsberg was joining in the festival spirit by subsidising tickets to the Auckland match.
“This is an amazing offer courtesy of Carlsberg and demonstrates their commitment to football in general, and the Football United Tour in particular.
“That certainly calls for a Carlsberg!”
We are a Nufc_nz and Nightz free zone then!
