billyspleen75 That timing was outstanding.
Say you need him to score a goal to rectify next :P

Damn, didn't work, well not as quickly anyway.
Though right after you posted that we were going forward and I thought we had the magic bullet for the season.
billyspleen75 Hope that's where the comparisons end
dunnix
billyspleen75 Hope that's where the comparisons end Nah lol. Kraev easily looks a class above
kwlap
They're pretty quick closing down anything at all loose. Good test.
Lets go lads, we got this 🖤💛
Looking forward to seeing how our team starts to gel with most of the new faces blended in
How is our Clean Bill of Health stacking up? Any training reports?

Glad this is being played at Campbelltown Stadium, means we won't have that awkward camera angle again.
Hopefully our Sydney fans will turn up.
Nervous about the game and annoyed that urgargovic can’t play.
The Phoenix have travelled with the same squad that got the better of Melbourne City in the round of 16.
Brazilian midfielder Yan Sasse is in contention for a greater role against Macarthur, after making a late cameo against City, while new Polish striker Oskar Zawada will have to wait to make his debut after only joining his new team-mates on Tuesday night.
Reserve team players Riley Bidois, Noah Karunaratne, Jackson Manuel and Marco Lorenz have again travelled with Steven Ugarkovic, Lucas Mauragis, David Ball and Alex Rufer all still unavailable for selection.
Wellington Phoenix squad: 3. Finn SURMAN, 4. Scott WOOTTON, 5. Steven UGARKOVIC, 6. Tim PAYNE, 7. Kosta BARBAROUSES, 8. Ben OLD, 9. Oskar ZAWADA, 10. David BALL, 11. Bozhidar KRAEV, 12. Can see us not changing the lineup we played against City. Old had a good game so would be harsh to drop him for Sasse and I think Uffie sees Laws and Wootton as the starting CB’s with Payne/Surman covering if one of them are out and with Elliot have a good game also I don’t think Payne will come in at RB.
I cannot see Sasse starting, not until Talay knows what Macarthur is doing on the field; but definitely needs to play at some point in the game after getting a brief specific to how the game is evolving.
- It would be a surprise if they changed anything from the last match. No matter who was to become available. If you were to drop anyone, what signal would you be sending?
Unchanged starting XI... COYN!! I expect we will see more of Sasse this time around.
Feeling a bit nervous about this one...

Feeling a bit nervous about this one...- Pennington/Lewis partnership again. Unlikely We'll lose. Relax...
An interesting team from MacArthur am I wrong at saying it looks like they're playing with only one true CM? in Baccus?
I hope we mash them, but honestly, it is very heartening to see Davila in their XI this evening.
I'm sure the lads will all be wanting to catch up with him at some stage afterwards too.

This is a much more manageable camera angle
He's a cocky little bugger but I'm looking forward to seeing Arzani back in action this season. If he's kept his skills from a few years back he is going to be a huge handful for defences.
Pennington has been beyond awful in the first 15.
Hopefully he can rectify shortly

That clearance will do 🤣

Faaaark this is nervous watching. Both teams look like they could score, McArthur slightly more dangerous.

Nice counterattack from us. This is a high tempo game.
Shark myself a bit there
Pennington on the giveaway again. He's been bad tbh
Elliot and Old are strugglnig to defend
Shocking miss from Toure. Our defending and ball retention is pretty bad so far.
Every time i see Kraev out of the corner of my eye, I think it's Matt Ridenton

This game is as intense as it is fast paced. Lots of mistakes out there with such a wet surface. They definitely look slightly more likely at the mo.
Reckon Talay might have earned us that yellow card. In the refs ear all the time
unsurprisingly, but Macarthur have a tactic to manage our structure, and they are doing so far with ease.
Oakleigh up 2-0!
Definitely getting ahead of myself, but if Sydney are knocked out.. I'm confident we can beat either of the NPL sides or the Roar

You can judge Old's improvement by the increasing number of fouls against him.
