Goalkeeper issues finally resolved, at least for the short term bridging I needed.
Transfers
And he started with a clean sheet, unfortunately we also failed to put one in the net at the other end too... *shaking my head*
Jim Duck - Most capped Whip of all time looking for a place to retire at.
Shane Renton - Eagles, Oats and Whips legend, scored 11 goals and had 24 assists in just 29 games last year. Will go great for anyone in Div Two.
Something wierd... any ideas?
I was just reviewing the transfer list pages...
Saw this:
Note that foreigners are ticked, and Coveny shows up with an NZ flag against his name (in the white oval)Changed it so that Foreigners was NOT ticked and got this:
Thought, WTF? so clicked on Lucas Coveny and went to the player page and saw this:With the mouse hovering over the NZ flag in the upper orange rectangle (to check it WAS an NZ flag and not a similar looking country's flag) My target url indicator (bottom left corner in the orange rectangle) showed it was indeed for NZ...Odd.
Foreigners just means that it includes foreigners in the search. So it also has nz players (which is useful)
Ahhh, okay. Cheers.
EDIT: Already explained, never mind...
Maybe the 'Foreigners' radio button would be better labelled 'Include Foreigners'?
I may have thrown 40m away today, oh well, wanted a new Right wing, my young gun was just not improving at all, so I signed this guy to play on the wing and as a possible cover upfront (Hopefully can improve his crossing a bit)

Haha well failed putting apic in, oh well :P
You should have waited on my guy Renton! He'd kill it for ya. To be honest, that guy looks like a striker, 6 crossing really may hurt as an OMR.
I grabbed Pat Wagner a while ago as a two season keeping fill in while I continue to wait on my youth keeper, will have about $150 mill to spend on a new MC and DC as well, one will be a foreigner, I'll score less goals but should be pretty strong at the back.

Overpaid a bit for a good young Kiwi CB - William Read. Will go get a centre mid once Renton is sold and hopefully will have a decent squad ready for promotion.
Short, for a DC...
...and yet he's an uber-headerer... go figure!
Size doesn't matter, its how you use it that counts...
Have a few youngsters up for sale.
Two 3.5 potential
Wynton Brock - Left Midfielder
and a 4.5 potential
New Train as of today. Soren's understudy at the sharp end of things...

F*** me!
So Felicijonas is Lithuanian, and out of curiousity I checked out their national team. Quite good, FITA ranking 16th,... undefeated recently, including beating Germany 1 -2 in Germany.
Their national side includes this bloke... check his stats out: http://trophymanager.com/players/61121081/Tautas-Levickas/#/page/history/
SIX gold stars, and all in pretty good places for a striker too. (and added to that his technique and positioning are silver stars too).
Not sure I could fed the guy, but he'd be awfully nice to have in the Train Station...
Added Frank Marsh last night. 5/5 leadership which is handy, and he's an upgrade on my current very average CM's, so happy with the signing. Still have 60 mill left to spend/upgrade if wanted, will see how I end up using it.
sorted my LB problem with my 5th import....
The Elite finally has a local keeper. Pretty good price too given the age and high price NZ keepers normally go for.
Martin Brock has joined the keeping stocks. The young 4.5-5* keeper is blooming and will be looking to cement the #1 role for his own in coming seasons. Sadly his 10 season stint with a premier league club didn't even see him riding the pine so will have to build some match fitness first but timing wise he should become playable around the time he stops blooming. The Elite have high hopes of many clean sheets to come.
Woah, I just scouted him as a 5 star - "Starting to bloom". Gotta love the extremely late bloomers. While I don't think he'll reach 5 stars, and may take forever to get to 4.5, he'll be well worth the money
Great buy. Just get his routine up immediately! If you don't have a reserve team, that may mean leaking a fair amount of goals in the short term.

Guess you could chuck him on with 15 to go every game, and go "very defensive" or just defensive if you're leading to limit the opposition shots on goal.

In a rather funny turn. First training after his arrival. Has already gone up a half star - clearly seller listed him that touch early or he could have gone for a bunch more I'm sure.
this story just gets better and better!
Soren's for sale...
Liam Dellar for sale, will score plenty of goals for a Div Three side if given the opportunity
Finally got a break on the transfer market and picked up an M/DMC for $34m
Bids recevied so he will sell...
He's got a TI of 29!!! too.
Just reviewing the interested clubs listing for him... I have GOOD feeling about this.
1 day and 8 hours to go and he's up to: 25,048,422
10 hours, 18 mins to go, 32,064,103
Boo - I think he's going to be out of my price range by the time the auction finishes.

I think you might be right... in the list of interested clubs are three international parties who are listed as "Fantastically Rich".
Basecity Bombers and DRC are both interested, but I don't think they have the coin to be contenders with the Danes and the two Italian clubs who are sniffing around...
5 hours 10 mins to go... Current bid is 55,305,747 by E.C. Hill Giant NZ.
Oooh, one of the Italians just woke up...
