Macarthur FC
I saw somewhere (insta i think) that Matt Derbyshire (former Blackburn Premier league midfielder) has been signed by MacArthur.
Reasonable signing.

Can't compare Bulls price until all other clubs release their membership prices.
Seems a nice enough kit.
maybe a little boring?
you don't want some stupid/crazy design for your first kit though, this is safe and something people will buy and be comfortable wearing.
Bulls sell out first trial/friendly game in 1 hour

The bulls are on their way to having what should be a fairly decent A-League side for this season, all things considered. A lot of A-League experience in Milligan, Oar and Franjic. Bringing in quality Aussies from outside the league is a big win too. Genreau and Najjar will provide a lot of youthful excitement. Derbyshire could provide a similar goal threat to Le Fondre. For sure it's better than what a lot of established clubs are working with.

Hmm. New salary cap?
They won 6-0 today. Their socials were dead silent today, which is a worry
It's a good opportunity for them to do well, IIRC the new teams weren't going to get TV money anyway until a year or two in and they wouldn't be banking on big crowds either.
Getting kinda worried that Macarthur might end up as a budget version of CCM tbh
Bulls 1 - SFC 2
Hot spots include the western Sydney electorate of Macarthur held by Labor, where the suburb of Campbelltown has 75.6 per cent of households suffering mortgage stress.
Just another added cost to an already fickle 'fan base'
I mean I can understand this sort of decision when the league was first founded - get a former decent player from a good level in as a gaffer and drum up some interest. But we're well past that as a league aren't we? Mind you, clubs like Macarthur and Western United only have about 50 fans between them so I can sort of understand the need to get some coverage out there.
Could be an interesting watch mind you. Likelihood of this being a train wreck appointment - Gotta be in the 70-80% region at a minimum...
Hope someone’s talking to him about how much they love him in Wellington…
That club is cursed.
Someone that follows me on Twitter reckon he has heard Ross Aloisi will be in charge come Tuesday. If true (He hasn't got any pedigree, so take with a huge grain of salt), this clearly wasn't a snap decision.
Don't know who this guy is but I like the cut of his jib:
Football great and treble winner calling an A League team a pub team! I’d hate to say it but he’s right, watching most teams in the A league is like pulling teeth - with the exception of Melbourne City, the Mariners and Wellington who are well managed & play half decent football.
