I imagine Rob Morrison is really trying to hammer that home, but the problem is that FFA are still in the better negotiating position - we need the league to exist whereas the league only needs us to boost revenue, so they have no problem trying to get as much as they can for as little as possible.
Brisbane Roar-ful

I think the AFA need to spend more time on making the Aussie clubs sustainable rather than trying to place too many restrictions on the NZ club that actually offers them no problems except in their own minds. I've had lots of dealings with Australia at sports administration level and by and large they are ok to deal with except that they tend to look after number 1 in preference to the bigger picture. We've seen several examples of this in a myriad of sports over a long period of time. On the face of it, it is a no-brainer that having a NZ team or teams in the A League is a good thing for both parties, but I suspect if there is some real or imagined pressure coming from Asia to ditch us under threat of sanctions against Australia - they will fold like a deck of cards and leave us with our dicks swinging in the breeze.
hearing Roar gone cold on tribulietx. if they're still looking for a coach... Miron is available. and no I'm not joking #aleague #mironin

I've been told it was Ramon who went cold... anyway - no deal!

But that's a major if...
He's at least being talked about in dispatches. We'll see Ramon in the A-League sooner rather than later if he wants to.
But that's a major if...
He probably needs to do it sooner rather than later because eventually his heroics at the club world cup will be forgotten. He obviously doesn't want to be an assistant which is the obvious step for him towards profesionalism.
His current ACFC gig is probably more professional than Jets or CCM are at the moment in a lot of ways (if you ignore the playing Southern United at the Caledonian rather than Victory at AAMI)
Aloisi to be appointed the Roar coach
Right or wrong?
Right or wrong?
Wrong

Roar have confirmed it now, his first game is a pushover fixture against some rabble called Perennial strugglers Liverpool.

This won't end well
This is going to be fun
Will he take Super Mario, Haden Fox with him *giggles*
The end to pleasant playing style and quite effective Brisbane. They'll be a dysfunctional rabble in 4 months time looking to No-clue Aloisi for some direction. Massive train wreck potential. At least Miron would have been worth watching.
Happy Days!
The moves of a club that doesn't have aspirations in the near term. At least it wasn't Farina I suppose.
Aloisi is just a weird move. How does he fit into their philosophy?
Wow Aloisi was sacked from Melbourne City and now Brisbane pick him up. Oh well i hear from radio sport today that a belgium club is interested in his services
Someone has taught him well - his game analysis and comparison of styles is quite good on TV, may have gone to the Gareth Morgan I-Pad sckool of Couching.
I am perplexed how he is an upgrade over Ramon.

Given the mess the ASBP is in I wonder if he's regretting it.
club World Champs not a mess - ACFC not a mess
well what's the future of the asbp?
well what's the future of the asbp?
Who knows - we'll find out in July, but I would think that ACFC would be in there in some form or another especially with the CWC in Japan in December
Roar 3 - Villarreal 0
Not bad effort by Clut for their first

The roar players were supposed to be paid on the 15th.
Coffee Club decline to renew their sponsorship deal with the Roar, the wheels are falling off.
Quite sad really - spent the last weekend over there and every sports store you go to (not just the outlet ones) has racks of Roar gear with prices slashed. The locals are highly disengaged and I hope for the sake of the league (not to mention the club) that the FFA man up and get on the front foot with it... the longer it goes the deeper the hole is getting, and the greater the distance between the club and the fans.
Rumours are that money was being taken from the till and spent on things other than football, when the CEO changed a massive pile of secret debt was uncovered.
Have the players all been paid yet?
On the roar forum the supposition is that the Coffee Club owners want to buy the club and are therefore trying to force the Bakries hands by removing sponsorship.
