Every time CCM try controlling the ball, they are pressed backwards and end up needing Reddy to belt it long. Its gonna be a very long night for them.
A-Leagues adventures in Asia (ACL & AFC Cup thread)
Really soft penalty, FC Seoul slots it off the post.
Outrageous incompetence by the linesman. Why couldn't the ref simply overrule him? He was just as close to the so-called foul and didn't blow for it.
That's just a normal challenge you'd see in any part of the field. The ball's gone before there is any kind of post-challenge contact. The Seoul guy was visibly mystified when the lino waved his flag.
HT: FC Seoul 1 CCM 0
CCM really unlucky to be down, despite being on the front foot for most of the half Seoul hasn't created much.
2 zip, CCM isn't coming back from this.
Bit of a relief. Means I can go to bed.
WSW 1 Ulsan 2 HT
Lots of chances at both ends, shambolic defending from WSW.
Coordinated 3 flares pyro party in the middle of the first half.
FT 1-3
We are as good as Ulsan.

It was pretty thick, and Hyphen had a howler of an attempt at a clearance. I think it's safe to say that theres a good chance it affected their ability to defend.
As much to blame was Polenz who could've sent his defensive header just about anywhere away from goal but inexplicably lobbed it right back into the box. Not the fault of smoke getting in their eyes, just stupidity.
Wow, Victory threw away a 2 goal lead to lose 4-2.
It's unfortunate for the A-league that the best clubs in the league right now are those not playing ACL
Is there a way to fix that though? Just seems to be the nature of the beast.

2nd and 3rd currently in the HAL are in the ACL.

Heart?
I feel like I'm in the very small minority of people who are really into the ACL. i think its an amazing competition and there are some hugely quality players in there.
How good was Diamanti the other night? Woof!
Although comedy Coe should be credited for the assist for a couple of them

This.
The reality is that none of the sides in the A league are good enough to compete in the ACL.

Hard call. Let's see what happens in return legs Leggy.

Wow, comedy defending for Hiroshima's goal.
Kim makes up for his shocking defending with a great thru ball for CCM to equalise.
From zero to hero within 2 minutes. Lovely ball to Sterjovski.
Sterj smashes one from outside the box to put CCM up 2-1
Shit, walked away from the tele for literally 10 seconds and missed it. Massive deflection on replay though. Still, CCM need to some luck.

I still can't work it out. Thought maybe it skipped up off the rough but it looks like he simply ducked it.
Fits in nicely with some of the bizarre defending we've been privileged to witness in recent times.
Pretty decent game, not sure its Hiroshima's top side as there was talk about them sending a weaker squad to the away ACL games.
For once Slater is right: Matt Simon should've been subbed at half time. He's such a headcase that the odds of him getting a second yellow are better then even.

CCM sitting back, trying to defend their lead. This is gonna come back and haunt them, they are really prone to doing this under Moss.
Crowd of 2,168, ouch.
Ends 2-1 to CCM. Got rather nervy at the end there.
