sounds like UH are not the team of last year. Not sure why Karori never got a transfer request for Ronisa who played for Utd apparently .
Comet error perhaps?
turns out there was a failed protest - turned down on the basis she hasn't played for a while.
Anyone at the 3-3 draw between Palmy and Wests? Were Palmy missing some Futsal girls?
You wouldn't have predicted a table like this even after two games.

what the deal with the Toon/IB combo? what does it entitle them to do?
what the deal with the Toon/IB combo? what does it entitle them to do?
From my understanding, IB is the reserve team for Seatoun, so players can move between the teams as per the regs. It's something like the alliances that are popping up at Junior level.

so designed to keep Seatoun afloat - but Seatoun players can go to play for IB? slightly strange?

more reason to move the common day back to Sunday too

Stop rapa was 13-0 to Rapa (10-0 at half time) - maybe just as well Stop Out pulled out of W-League
Capital Football have made changes to competition draws on the day to ensure as many members of the football community as possible are able to attend this historic game. All women's rounds scheduled for June 10 have been postponed, with the exception of Women's 1 where games will start earlier to accommodate the afternoon international.
Good move by Capital Football. http://www.capitalfootball.org.nz/newsarticle/6208...
Looks like some good games this weekend:

U18 women's has folded. Suggestion is replace with a monthly 9-a-side comp
Solid win for Karori over Uni on Sunday to stay top.
Rapa doing solidly in the WLeague - adding another Palmy player apparently. Utd coach Guille has copped a four match ban.
Does that mean he can't even be on the central league bench?
For Olympic
not normally
What is the promotion plan for the W-League next season? 2 up, O relegation, or did CF change their minds.

Last I heard the plan was for 2 up from premier league and W-League becomes an 8 team league

wonder if there are any thoughts of changing back to sunday?

Is that preferred by the teams/girls? Thought having the games as a double header with Mens teams would be good for the clubs?

unsure. Does anyone currently have double headers?
Sat is niggly for male coaches who play. Will also mean another six officials needed on Sat?

Most do when the draw allows for it, only one that doesn't really is Wests and that's because the mens team tends to play in sunday's when at home
Maybe Saturday games will encourage more female coaches to step up.
They needed another 9 officials on Saturdays when they started the W-League and don't seem to be having a problem, think its easier to get officials for a Saturday than a sunday

Well... Actually we don't have enough referees but I don't really think that is moving the games to Saturday is the problem. More that a whole lot have given up or retired so we are short. A lot of referees are doing two or more games each weekend at the moment.
That's an interesting point about Wests, seeing as they are allowed to move their mens game to Sunday, it is funny that the women have to play on Saturday. You would hope clubs do take advantage of the double headers for their teams.
do Seatoun?
This year there are rarely many refs down in cap 4. Most weekends. I don't believe any Junior 13/14th grade premier has had any refs.

Yeah that is a mix of this referee shortage and covering the W-League. I remember a few years ago we had down to Cap 5 and the Juniors but we just don't have anywhere near the numbers. So really get below Cap 3, no juniors and also having trouble covering the College Sports Premier grades.

yeah I don't think this is true if you look at effects on cap3,4 etc
Does that mean he can't even be on the central league bench?
the ban does mean he isn't allowed on the bench for Olympic, but the 4 games are 4 W-league games (despite the fact it was during a Cap Prem game he got the ban) and with a week being called off for the ferns game it's going to be 5 weeks that he has to miss

yeah as Yakcall said more an issue in general with a lot of refs leaving or retiring and not many new ones coming in
