So that's a straight 2 up and down? No play off for BNU or anything like that?
Capital 1
Yeah - Island Bay just replaced Island Bay and Naenae (woop) replaces Tawa
Final BNU v Miramar 1-6.
BNU played well in the first half and early in the 2nd. They got it back to 2-1 in the second but Miramars greater experience and skill took the game away from them. The never gave up trying though.
who scored for Miramar?
Banks got three I think. Thats all i saw on twitter

Not sure about that, as Cap Football rules state it's promotions first then relegation's. If that's the case then according to the rules, IBU Cap 2 can't go up as the seconds will technically still be in Cap1 because the relegation hasn't occurred and you can only have one team in Cap1 and above.
You would hope Capital Football use some common sense when it comes to situations like this.
Spose it also depends if Seatoun go up as well?

Banks - bit of a fall from grace - AWs to Cap1. Its not like he is old

If any clubs want to borrow our lawyers (Crane, Poole & Schmidt) for the upcoming promotion relegation deliberation please contact me........:)

Wharfies had a good win last night, beating BNU Masters 1-0. Have to feel sorry for that bunch of players though - going to finish runners up in Cap 1 and now the Masters 1 division as well.

Surely that is only for each league, promotions happen first then relegations
Otherwise how would you know how many teams could be promoted? If no relegation has happened from that league then how could say Stop Out get promoted to Central League as there would still be 10 teams. How could Lower Hutt be promoted from Cap 1 to Cap Prem if the Cap Prem relegation of Wainui hasnt happened (even if Central League had occured as it could be a straight swap of Wgtn Utd for Stop Out, so again there would be 10 teams in Cap Prem)? This logic is flawed and would flow on to every league

Fair play too much for me to process this early in the week
What if winner of Rapa and Horo both want into Cap 3? Would that mean 4 relegations? Or would they play off and only one gets entry? Has this ever happened before?
There's also the possibility of teams pulling out of grades reducing the relegations. Stokes Valley, Waikanae and Paekak have all done this over the last 3-4 seasons or so
Never mind, CF have explained it here: http://www.sportingpulse.com/assoc_page.cgi?client=1-4205-0-0-0&&news_task=DETAIL&articleID=25276700
Up to 5 teams could be relegated from Cap 3 down too
Good banter from Greene at the NW - Warfies game. Interesting to find out some names behind some of the people on here who have been so anti NW too! (Hi horseshead, sore head have anything to do with the forum name?)
Was a good game to watch, well contested and the guys had some really good chances, really pleasing to see, especially from some of the young guys in that squad (Playing within the rules of course)
So happy that the club has kept up in Cap 1. It would have been devastating for the players and the club as a whole. Looking forward to next season, hopefully the new turf being put in over summer will be a real draw card for the club as we continue (or begin?) the rebuild period again.
Cheers to Teza too for your defence of the club through all of this. There is a real appreciation from a lot of people within the club for your work!

Are the dates/ teams for play offs confirmed?
Are the dates/ teams for play offs confirmed?
What are your predictions for this game? Decent match up? How good is the boy scoring goals for Stop Out? Corgan is it? Might depends on Mosquera's goals to settle the tie?
Billy Corgan? Was never the same after Siamese Dream.
Amen Smithy.
Two fantastic albums and some grossly over-tated tripe after. Now resorting to playing for Stop Out. How the mighty have fallen.
Anyone had a look at the Cap 1 table lately ?
Uh-oh.......
Brooklyn appealed the result against Miramar after playing an ineligible player.
Any Miramafia keen to comment? Or "get all warfies" on their ass?
This is hilarious. After all the water under the bridge it now looks like North Wellington will get relegated if Stop Out don't win the return leg of the playoff.
A little schadenfreude?
Lola at NW appealing the appeal (if true).
Terrence (Teza)?
I haven't heard about any appeal of an appeal sorry Feverish. Where did you hear that we're supposedly doing this?
FYI: I am aware of some new rules that may come in next season that could finally stop clubs gaming the system (and perhaps cost them a lot more than just points).
It may not happen but if they do come in they would go a long way to making sure we can all have a great big footballing hug at the end of the season and also put a number of lawyers out of business (I do hear that Vic Uni now have a third year LLB paper in Capital one litigation :) .

Annoying as it may be, if it happens it happens. We then work to win Cap 2 and come straight back up. In the long run it's just one more year added to the long term plan to get to Central League. No one died, no one was hurt, it's just the way the cookie crumbles.
(edited for my poor grammar :) )
What a crazy extra twist in an already entertaining, controversial, and tight league.
And imagine if we (IBU) had beat Seatoun in that final game (as we probably should have after leading 1 nil).
Miramar would've been in 8th place so up for potential relegation. Bet there would be one hell of a 'legal' shit fight ensuing if it was the case!
Loling hard at all this. Always seems to be a technicality that puts BNU clear of relegation. If its not only 1 team going down, or a team pulling out of the grade, it's this.
Maybe Blew can tell us the player?
Just seen this. No idea.
