Having a ticket to the Grand Final!

Tongariro Crossing, did it yesterday, superb walk. Espesh cause we went on a great day.
Did it about 10 yrs ago, crap weather, couldn't see more than 5m in front of us. Pity. I've seen photos of the walk on a fine day, looks fantastic. However, the next day was beautifully fine so we walked up to the Crater Lake on Ruapehu, then slid down on rubbish bags to the top of Whakapapa ski field.
The Pixies! What an epic night it was- a brilliant gig.

Gotta love a victory inspired pitch invasion! I've played in two winning aussie rules Grand Finals, both resulted in pitch invasion madness...was epic. Best feeling ever.

Escaping!
If you like Pina Coladas
And getting caught in the rain
If you're not into yoga
If you have half a brain
If you'd like making love at midnight
In the dunes on the Cape
Then I'm the love that you've looked for
Write to me and escape ?

Man, it was crazy!! I went with my dad, but they were so good! Really energetic, were faithful to the Doolittle album and just totally rocked. Awesome.

Google Earth. Could zoom right in to photos of my childhood homes in Newcastle (real Coro st type look - brick city and back alley) and Essex (peri-urban).

The look of horror on my Swedish step-mum's face when I told her we were having kangaroo for dinner!
Claiming our first victory of the cricket season against our lovable neighbours Kelston Boys High. And the post-match pitch invasion from the adoring fans!

Jeez, almost froze to death there, couldn't see my hands in front of me. Thirty minutes later it was perfectly fine again. Still, great views from Ketetahi hut out over Taupo and Rotorua, and on the way back we could see Mt Egmont in the distance.
The YF forums!
Woah, awesome! It actually is such an awesome feeling! Although to put this into some perspective- this was school social cricket. So the pitch invasion consisted of around 40 fans! (Which is, of course, a fantastic turn out!)

Not being young, not being old (being just right):
Old age starts at 58, Britons think
London, March 17 Reuters
Findings from the European Social Survey on when youth stops and old age begins
Many may beg to differ but according to a new survey, the average Briton believes youth ends at 36 and old age starts at 58.
The good news for those feeling a little long in the tooth though is that those two landmarks vary considerably according to the age of the beholder.
The findings come from the European Social Survey, which took in 21 European countries and more than 40,000 respondents.
In general, men regarded the end of youth and start of old age to begin two years earlier than women did.
There were also large differences between European countries.
Youth was perceived to end earliest in Nordic countries such as Norway (34) compared to countries like Cyprus, where the average perception is that you stop being young at 52 and start being old at 67.
"The survey showed that age prejudice - being treated as 'too young' or 'too old' - is perceived to be a serious or very serious issue by 63 percent of respondents so it is obviously important to know what these age labels mean to people," said Professor Dominic Abrams of the University of Kent, who conducted the research.
