Can't you only convert it if you have the tank though?

Ive had a check -if the tank is elited, the XP becomes available for conversion, even if the tank is sold

Once a tank is elited i.e. everything possible is researched, including the next tank up, to still continue to earn xp if you battle in it -you have 2 choices-you can divert that xp to crew training in which case their skills accelerate, or you can continue to accumulate XP on the tank.
This can be left in anticipation of a new tank line starting from that tank -i.e the Marder 2 will the the start of the 2nd German TD line, so xp would be useful to unlock the Marder 3 straight away,
or you can convert the accumulated XP into free XP that can be used for anything -researching a module or a new tank. The conversion process uses gold to convert-think the rate is 25xp for each 1 gold, so its a big money earner for WG

So what is the 2nd German TD line going to have do we reckon?

Obviously the Nashorn in there somewhere, other Marder's?  Brummbar... although that should probably slot into the existing line?

I think it starts at T4 with the Marder 3, then the Nashorn -allegedly leading to the krokidil

The Nashorn has the L/71 doesn't it?  That would smash at Tier IV, V or VI

found this

Marder 3 - 75mm L/70 gun at tier 4
Pz. Sfl. IVc -
Nashorn - 88mm L/71 gun at tier 6
Sturer Emil - 128 L/61 mm gun at tier 7
Waffentrager Panther - same gun 128 L/61mm with open turret ... and 150mm L/38 gun at tier 8
Waffentrager Tiger - 150mm L/60 gun with open turret at tier 9
Waffentrager E-100 - 170mm gun like JagdPz-100 with open turret at tier 10

They would need to nerf the L71 in Tier 6 as that's the Tiger II gun and at VI it would tear our T40's apart from cap to cap.

Had to re-install a 4th time last night.  Couldn't open WoT.  Some "APPCRASH" error.  Thought it would be wise to uninstall and start again.  Not wise.  Found out it was an NVIDIA driver issue...

The last month - I must have used the internet capacity of a small Pacific island state...

Gave her a girly emblem, and elite status for what it's worth...kills dried up in the end...survived, in the main, but had too many battles with KV monsters to make any real difference (tried to take on one - the 75mm did little)...

Need to get the most out of these krauts...am I going wrong with their training (should they all concentrate on one skill?  Or as I'm doing - several)...equipment?

PS: Well done FT on the 'Ace Tanker' in that frog TD thing...something missing from my CV...

Because I live my life in a TD or as a scout all I have my 4 100% crews working on is Camo first until 100%, then I change the Commander to 6th sense and start him on Camo again, driver to clutch-braking.  Loaders to Repair and I can't remeber what I switched the gunner to.  I think once they get to 100% I'm encouraged to swicth them all to Brothers-in-arms and start them again but I'm sure Munk will offer guidance.

Yeah.  Pretty happy with that Ace Tanker on the Renault.  Think I've had two 5 kill battles in it, but would like a Top Gun sometime  It's why I've splashed out on a paint scheme and NZ flag on the Renault.  Had to kill one last night and apologised to the driver.

Good run yesterday though.

- Won 16 of 22.

- A top Gun in my BT-7

- Completed my SU-85b crew to 100% and set them on Camo.

- 30 kills in 22 battles (should have been better as 10 of those came in just two battles)

- Also managed to complete the grind on Perry and unlock the bathtub (Yay).  I'm torn on selling Perry now it has a > 60% winrate though.  It needs the right map but the Derp is comedy gold in Tier 4.  Lees and PzIVs explode in pieces.  Tier VI, not so much.

Also:

50% credits discount on premium ammo 50% gold discount on premium consumables 50% credits discount on consumables x2 Crew experience rate

If I'm right that last one means accelerated crew improvment which should be used at all costs.  Am I right Munk?

Another question Munk.

If I moved my BT-7 crew to a BT-2 (as an example).

Am I right that they would become 75% but would keep the Camo skill level they have?

Would it have less impact if I was premium at the time?

for a medium, its best to train the whole crew for repairs to 100%, then swap the commander to 6th sense and restart his 2nd skill as repair -having them all repair drastically reduces the time to fix a track etc. It looks like yr training yr commander with BIA -unfortunately, this wont work until its 100% for all crew -so it will be a long time before it comes into effect -maybe swap it for repair if you can

Don't worry.  Found my answer.

I think that if I pay silver I will have them at 90% and they will keep the camo skill but not advance it.  If I spent gold they would stay at 100% (I'm not paying gold).  But apparently if I go into the crew I can see what would happen if I select the tank I want to move them to so I will do that.

When you go to the personal file (right-click portrait in garage, select Personal File) and select the training tab, you can use the Type and Vehicle info to select the tank you want to retrain the crewman for (you must have researched the tank, but you needn't even own it). It will show you below what the resulting experience level for tank academy (i.e., gold) retraining, Regimental School (i.e., 20k credit retraining), or Rapid Course (i.e., free) retraining. You need not figure it out yourself.

Just as I look at my stats the BT-2 sticks out as a glaring anomaly in my stats (actually there are some other bad ones as well).  Working out whether to get a 75% crew or drop my BT-7 crew in and grind them for 10% back then switch them back to the BT-7 and lose another 10% when I have a good win rate..

depends on if you think its worth it spending credits on a low level tank

It's not like I have a pool of Tier X tanks to run them in but your point is quite valide.

If I was silvering a 75% crew with the purchase of the BT-2 anyway then I may as well use the same amount to get a 90% crew with 60% and climbing camo.  Although that's going to cause me problems with not being able to use my BT-7 while it is happening and I do like my BT-7.

Regards.  Confused of Karelia.

An issue with the Pz. III.  Often in the lower tier.  Got to make it count when higher tiered.  In my last eight battles had only Fisherman's Bay (success, went to the bay side, outflanked them, then got stuck into their arty - love it when that happens) and Westfield to get the killls.  Haven't played that map in an age.  Got confused.  Got killed.  Pissed me off.

Can I reach 600 kills before 1000 battles this weekend?  If I were a betting man...I'd have to say...no...but it could be close...

In desperation (to see if it was just me), go to the KV.  Win the game practically on my own (seriously - could thank me you bastards).  Played a heavy sensibly for a change.  Will watch a replay of that one 'Boss'!

I'm learning.  Take the arty/TDs from behind when the 75mm doesn't penetrate...and run like a bat out of hell when their mates come to help!  Probably could have shown a bit more bravery (he was only a Lee), but I wasn't well!

In love with my Mark III again, 100 gold for the 'cool'  camo pattern (might an SS scheme though?!?!?...they were ahead of everyone else regarding camouflage...and their uniforms were designed by Hugo Boss for those wanting to know!!!)...

Nice to see - also with the Lee ,they dont have a turret (turrent) so if you  can track them you can finish them easily enough, also if you circle them, keeping away from the gun side, you can troll them to death
