I tried to get a job as a beer taster once, but in the end, I bottled it.

It's called a gateaux blaster.

The policeman pulls over a car onto the side of the road and walks over to the driver.
"Do you realise you've got two snakes attached to the front of your car?" he asks.
"It's all right," replies the driver, "they're just my windscreen vipers."

I believe it is possible to have both, LG...but would question the originality of these ones
But fizz his first time on this thread in a while, we should cut some slack....HarryHotspur2008-02-05 08:58:07

They are punny jokes
Punny jokes or puney jokes?? They are small but funny.
LG are you trying to size up Steffan's large-ss? Sharing pun-like jokes is no small order.
(trying to make some size-related puns here, but it's really hard work... )Leeds_Chris2008-02-05 21:08:01

As a general rule of thumb, I think that the measure of a man is his ability to pun under pressure. I suspect this subject has got a bit more mileage in it yet, some people will go to any lengths to post a good pun.
Mind you, give some people an inch..

I'm under pun pressure now: the missus says if i don't metre in a minute she'll lamp me one HarryHotspur2008-02-05 20:45:51
lamp you one? I wouldn't take that threat lightly.
After a threat like that, I would stay my distance, give a wide berth, and try and avoid being brought down to size. Or belittled for that matter. Leeds_Chris2008-02-05 21:12:25

Harry, if she lights you, you could have her charged with battery!!
AA, LG's back on form!
Watt are you lot on about?
Wire you not reading properly?
He was trying to short the thread!
Currently not on the right wavelength, which might come as a bit of a shock.
I just hope he doesn't have a short fuse!
Well this should bring you back down to earth. I don't know watt's going on here. Haven't you lot got ohms to go to?
Jag2008-02-05 22:49:31
I thought the thread was getting a bit static. Either that or I'm more insulated against the new puns.
Resistance is futile, LG.
Any day is a "faraday" to me Jag.
This is the thread that re-fuses to die. See we're current-ly heading towards 400 posts. That'll shock a few people.
Yes, there's certainly something Magnetic about it! A lot of people have been drawn to it for sure. Lonegunmen2008-02-06 13:53:27
Yup, it's attracting a lot of of attention, both positive and negative.
This thread really is a Joule in the rough that is Yellow Fever. Doesn't seem to be running out of energy. Nice to hear we're heading towardsa New Tonne of puns- the fourth one. (sorry, that one was a bit stretched)
It doesn't matter how you measure it, this thread is like the energizer bunny and it keeps on going and going and going and going........
It certainly polarises opinion
Certainly there will be some people that are curie-ous about this thread. Hopefully when they track back a page it will offer a new, clear understanding of the art of punning.HarryHotspur2008-02-06 18:54:56
Punning, punned, pun, to pun, to be punned, to be punning. Hmmmmmm Pundacious I say!
You must have put a lot of energy into that post, LG.
Well now that I have recharged the batteries I am back to Pun the House down!!!
With the eclipse happening at the moment, there's gonna be pundemonium alright. Try using a welders mask, You can see it quite well.
Those lunar-tics who are still posting on this thread are going strong!! No-one shall eclipse our efforts, solar-ge are our puns
I'm a bit busy so if I want to see an eclipse, I'll have to planet well in advance.
p.s. Welcome back C-D. The old place hasn't been the same without you, when you disappeared you left a big black hole. We can't afford to lose pun stars like yourself.

Did C-Didy hear about LG last sun day? Eclipsed the post and then pulled a hamstring. I think we should crater pun award for the YF bash, whenever it is. Are we going to meteor are we going to organise it online?
