Horror-canes - The Fever Union thread
"that guy is pretending, he's got flailing arms high in the air, he's not even trying to touch Pretty Boy Williams!"
What a farce! Nasser stage-managing that charade from Aussie..who does he think he is foisting that crap on us in NZ? Did NZPBA president Lance Revell have involvement in this too? Shameful.
Re this morning's headline
Sonny Bill Williams finds rugby boring: mate
If that's correct, then its a sad attitude. Arrogant, disrespectful, mercenary.
He was allowed to gain All Black honours with indecent haste and dishonours many good men who worked hard for the privilege of representing their country.Very poor form, imo.
The SBW brand..what does that stand for?

Canes fans channeling their inner Fever?
Canes fans channeling their inner Fever?
Sack Hammet, I am not a Horrorcanes fan but they were terrible tonight.
I'm not usually much of a Cheifs complainer, but we were screwed over last night. Many questionable decisions - no more so than Ellis' try
Maybe this Chief's team isn't that different from past years, the wheels falling off at the wrong time.
The wheels might be falling off, but that still wouldn't make them like past chiefs teams. Chiefs are usually atrocious for the first month of the competition, not the last, and then come home strong at the end (but usually to no avail). Here they might be doing the opposite.
As I side note, I was at the game tonight and the crowd was about twice what I've ever seen at a nix game aside from the playoffs. I know it has alot to do with winning the world cup, but it's widely been attributed to changing the competition to have more 'local' derbies to drum up more interest.
It makes me wonder whether the nix will ever be able to draw big crowds consistently, even if we end up winning the league in the next few years. However good we get, will armchair fans ever get as excited about the nix playing the likes of Adelaide or Newcastle, as they might about the hurricanes playing home and away ties with the crusaders or chiefs?
But I digress...
Agreed. Very annoyed about that Coles try, could be very crucial towards our title hopes, playing an away final, if we get that far, could decide the title
Crusaders could do the chiefs a favour and beat the stormers in the semi, for a Crusaders-Chiefs final in Hamilton. I know this is making quite a few assumptions but would make for a cracking final.

I thought he probably got it down. He was certainly over/on the line. Either way, it makes up for the pushover try the Chiefs scored just before half time while our prop was in the bin for the most ridiculous yellow card I have seen in a long time.
Chiefs into the final!! Hope the Shark's can upset the Stormers now.
Thats for sure, would love a home final, and not having to get up at 2am in the morning would be quite nice too :)
Yay, Sharks upset the Stormers. Final to be hosted by the Chiefs.
Chiefs have to be firm favourites to win it from here, Sharks have travelled Durban to Brisbane to Cape Town to Hamilton within three weeks, that has to take it out of even the most prepared group of athletes.
C'Mon Chiefs, you can do it tonight!!
Well done Chiefs!

15 years of mediocrity washed away last night, amazing to watch
Crisis averted, I really don't want to go up and see Manawatu v Hawkes Bay next Saturday now. If it had of been a shield challenge, I would have had a massive urge to pop up for the game, before the Nix game that evening
Canterbury 84 Southland 0, my god.......
So who do I cheer for this afternoon? Lions win, they get a home semi, to be played for before the Nix game. Or Taranaki, who I really don't like because they stole some Turbo players. Tough choices.
Pretty good game yesterday. Hopefully we get another day like that for the nix game this week
As a Waikato fan I was rapt with getting the shield, as for the playoffs, I'm picking Canterbury over Wellington in the final.

Just awful. Hopefully the outcome for Hoani is as good as it was for Fabrice Muamba.
Agree. Shame on sky for not showing or talking about it. Hopefully there's a full recovery
I didn't mind them not showing it, that was respectful to the player. However they should have mentioned it and wished him all the best.
