The problem with SKY it is a bad deal, you pay to much for just watching the A-League. SKY have to step up and make I proper product. I'm willing to eg $29.99/month to watch the a-league and ASB football but not $79 (or what ever price you get) to have ALL the other stuff I don't like to see. I want to see it online live streaming and replay on-demand, I want a weekly 1/2h football show with highlights, news, interviews and pre and after game show with some experts like Ifill, ex-all whites. Nothing crazy, just basic TV.
Sky though do have some pretty generous special offers these days.
With the deal I'm on I pay only $39 / month including Sky Sport.
Sky Basic = $29 / month
Sky Basic + one premium channel package (e.g. Sport or Movies) = $39 / month
Sky Basic + two premium channels = $49 / month
Plus free My Sky + for a year.
You can get Sky Basic plus Sport for only $39 / month by phoning this marketing company who work for Sky:
Phone 0800 475 988
You might have to keep phoning back until someone answers (what I did) and can also leave a message for them.
Probably better to phone on a week day too.
Note that you can't get this offer by phoning the standard Sky TV numbers, only the number above.
Only a six month contract but you get the reduced price for one year.
In other words you can terminate it after six months or if you want, carry on getting the reduced price and free My Sky + for one year.
(You probably will have to give Sky TV some notice before they will disconnect you)
Offer open to anyone who has never had Sky or (like me) has not had Sky TV in the last 60 days (minimum period of 30 days notice plus 60 days with Sky disconnected)

Sky do now have a half hour NZ football show on Monday nights at 7.30 pm "NZ football Weekly" with ASB Premiership highlights and highlights of the most recent Phoenix match.
Some of the filler between highlights like players goofing around is unnecessary, but they have had some good interviews such as with Liverpool legend David Fairclough who was visiting NZ recently.
It would be good to have serious interviews with NZ players and football personalities on this show and more content surrounding Phoenix matches such as pre and post match shows.
