I finally got around to check and it looks like BeIn will have Serie A after all, along with the Bundesliga, La Liga and some EFL.
Their pricing is good at $15 per month or $130 for the year. About one quarter of Sky and will the AWs being on FIFA+, I just need to find out where I can watch Roma in the Europa League and I'll be set.

I don’t think I’ll be re subscribing to Bein. No UCL? There’s only the Carabo cup that I’d watch but depending on how Newcastle go, I’m probably better off doing a month pass..

Will BeIN do another good offer regarding a football package? I subscribed to them a couple of seasons ago and found it really good...

I doubt it.. They aren't advertising the Champions League anymore. They only had it last year due to Spark Sport still having the rights.

Can't see a subscription service lasting long in NZ without EPL or CL

Didn't realise they only had CL for one season. It's not listed on Sky either. Is there any info on who, if anyone, has UEFA competitions for this season?

Looks like it is not on Bein. Yet another provider to have to fork out to. I think I am just going to use Kodi.

I just signed up, I need legal ways to watch at work, I went for the one off $150 one which makes it $12.50 a month which I'm ok with.

But yes, add to the Sky Sports Now, Sky, Netflix, Spotify, Apple it all adds up.

Hmmm was hoping it would go back to Sky. A new provider generally means it's going to cost more.
Bein was $14.99 a month and can cancel any time.  Dazn have a few sports but only thing I'm interested in is Arsenal CL (or Europa if we drop out early) games and  we're generally only in it from September to March/April so I don't want to pay for 12 months when I only need it for 6. Have always preferred to pay for the legal option so I can guarantee being able to watch the games without having to mess around with dodgy streams and VPNs etc. Will probably end up doing it but it's annoying at a time things are fairly tight currently.

Far too expensive to be a football fan, not sure if I am willing to fork out the money for both beIN and dazn, wish than beIN retained the rights

Is there any info on whether DAZN will have all the games live and on demand or just a selection each round? Would want to guarantee I can watch all my team's games before I pay, and on demand is important given the CL games usually clash with morning work.

They said both live and on demand, from my understanding it should be the same coverage that was last year - all of the UCL matches and then a selection of Europa + Conference. Everything that they broadcast live should be on-demand also

I would wait out on purchasing until just before the first matchday to see what their offering will look like

I saw somewhere that the UEFA Super Cup will be free on dazn, so that will be a good trial run.

Also saw that there is no "watch from start" - many NFL ripping dazn to shark for this. Most of those comments were from the start of the 2023 NFL season, but haven't seen anything yet to suggest that feature was added.

Hmmm, so I signed up last week for the one off $149 deal, made the payment and the money came out. Looked at my account and the money is back and I am no longer a subscriber. I also can't re-sign up for that deal, I have to pay $14.99 per month for a year.

Anyone else have this problem? The helpdesk was noooooo help.

Can anyone confirm what the picture quality of SkySport Now is like? Is it comparable or better than SkyGo? Or atleast equivalent to the picture quality we had with SparkSport?

never had any issues with image quality with Sky sport. Spark was iffy at best especially with buffering etc.

Hmm just going through the sign in on their website (apparently I have a login which I’ve never used – must have tried to look at it at some point in the past for something), it looks like the only options now are the $14.99 a month for 12 months or a 7 day trial then charged at $29.99 a month to cancel any time. The press release still says there is the $149.99 annual subscription but maybe they have removed it to try and squeeze more money out of the people joining for CL/Europa.

With Bein I could pay $14.99 a month and cancel once my team were out, generally around 6 months so this will cost me double. Being able to watch my team is important to me but at the moment I just can’t justify paying for something for 6+ months that I won’t use it. Will reluctantly have to look into other more unreliable ways.

Strange, I remember noticing a drop in quality when I went from Spark to Sky Sport Now. In the end we settled for getting a physical box. But tempted to give Sky Sport Now another crack as we don't use any of the other Sky channels.

It's good, it had a major bump in quality probably about a year or so ago now and it made a big difference. I think it's now the same as SparkSport.
Games go on replay at times that aren't always reliable (or consistent), but they have a TV Guide, that goes back 24hrs and you can watch anything from there at any time in that time period, and they also have a 'watch from the start' button too.

I'd sign up for a month at a time (given we're close to Nov), then keep an eye out for Black Friday, as last year they had a $299 fee for a years sub, usually (at that time) $449.

Surely they haven't removed the $150 option, seems unfair to have it available and take it away before most have purchased

I asked on their live chat if the $149.99 deal mentioned in the press release and NZ herald story was still available and they were absolutely no use. Does look like it's been removed. Unfortunately I just can't justify paying double this season. Have used the legal options for so long I can't even remember the last time I tried a dodgy stream so wouldn't know where to look anymore. Anyone have any suggested options? Feel free to PM if it shouldn't be posted publicly.

Has anyone signed up to BeIN Sports Connect? I did so yesterday and while they say they have the rights to several leagues, the Live offerings seem pretty few and far between? I wo t be able to watch many games live, but I sure as heck would like the option to

It appears they have lost Ligue 1 which is very frustrating as I was looking to watch Ben Old tomorrow. Anyone know who has the rights for it here in NZ?

Answering my own question. I just received an email today saying BeIN Australia and NZ retain the rights for Serie A (and the other leagues) and they just updated the live tv schedule with every game. Happy camper here

See in this morning dom post sky is looking at not re-newing the A-league and tvnz is in discussions with maybe getting the 25-26 season, personally I’d like this as it means I could finally dump sky lol

Looks like Sky Sport is getting rid of Breakers games also - from this coming season

Although all NBL games will still be available through the ESPN channel on Sky still. But it seems Sky won't be filming and commentating on the games like usual.

Also seems as though TVNZ might be in discussions to broadcast Breakers games - the article says that it is unknown if someone else gets the rights to Breakers games whether or not ESPN in NZ will still be able to broadcast those games or not

Also the Press article I see seems to reckon the A-League on Sky is in doubt for this coming season rather than from the 25/26 season

I ditched Sky Sport after the Olympics.
My plan is to subscribe again when the A-League starts (if Sky retain the rights).
For now, I'm watching football on FIFA+
And also for free:
A NEW SITE TO WATCH FULL MATCHES & HIGHLIGHTS SHOWS FROM ALL THE TOP LEAGUES:
(Europe, South America plus national team games)
Click on a league or tournament at the top of the page.
Click on anything you're interested in and go down to where it says "LINKS"
Click on a link and voila, the match or highlights show will come up.
An ad blocker like U Block Origin is essential but most of you will have that on your computer.
To watch All White Ben Old at St Etienne - all French Ligue 1 games here:
Ligue 1 Full Match Replay (soccerfullmatch.com)

UEFA CLUB COMPETITIONS:
I watch selected full matches and extended highlights for free on UEFA's free broadcast platform:
UEFA.tv
The recent UEFA Super Cup Real v Atalanta is there in full.
You can watch on their website or download the UEFA.TV app to your TV or device.

Hard to find the Dutch Eredivisie for free (or even to pay) online in NZ.
I've found this legal website where you can watch for free the weekly one hour Eredivisie Highlights Show that Sky used to broadcast.
It's geo-blocked in NZ but a VPN will enable you to watch it and other football and sports.

I'm a Breakers fan, but I couldn't be less interested this season, they have 2-3 Kiwi's on their roster, none on the coaching staff.
But will be fascinating to see where the Breakers/Nix games turn up, and does that include the Nix women?

@ chopah TrillerTv is a legit webby, in NZ it is mainly for Professional Wrestling shows (it used to be know as FiteTV)

Only Football they offer for the NZ based audience is the Portuguese top league with their USD$6.99 per month plan. But you do get loads of Indy pro-wrestling content.

But, but, but Sky have got more great sporting content than ever before!!

Charges increase incrementally every 6 months...

Without rugby rights (which I read are coming up at some point soon-ish) those clowns would be dead in the water.

It was just more poking fun at the statement about a legal website, when so many are just pirate sites with good artwork.

Fudge, my annual subscription just went through (i'd forgotten that it was up for renewal). If they don't get the rights thats a sharkload of cash down the drain.
