Apparently he was from Welli. Anyone know details?

Nothing in the phone book.
Isn't that where Brian Turner played?
You can read old match reports from the 2013/14 season here
https://www.brentfordfc.co.uk/news/article/1314-you...
From these isolated quotes saw some action in the first game v QPR !
"QPR nearly took the lead on the half-hour but Tzanev acrobatically turned Mitford's 30 yard effort over the bar"
"Tzanev made a fine save to deny Mitford at the near post and from the resulting corner The Bees keeper spilled the ball into his net under what looked to be illegal pressure from Mitford"
"Tzanev and Mitchell clashed going for the bouncing ball, the referee decided it was a penalty offence and booked The Bees keeper.
After a lengthy delay to treat a dazed Mitchell, Young stepped up but saw his penalty turned away by Tzanev low to his left."
Isn't that where Brian Turner played?
Correct - signed there after a season at Chelsea (no first team appearances) and half a season (four appearances) at Portsmouth. Two and a half seasons, 95 apps, 7 goals as a midfielder:

A 2008 book of British football facts published in the UK, "End to End Stuff" by Les Scott mentions Brian Turner as Brentford FC's most successful international player with his 100 All Whites appearances, including the 1982 World Cup Finals in Spain:

Find his detailed Brentford stats here on this great website:

It doesn't list his Brentford goals but Wiki says seven.

Gone on a months loan to Lewes FC - played one match so far, 4-0 over some bunch of loooooooosers
Nik Tzanev returns from loan spell
Five straight wins for Kevin O'Connor's Development Squad.
“They went on the front foot second half, “said Kevin “Nik’s made some good saves and it’s good for him as he hasn’t played much for us and that will give him the confidence to kick on now.”
Nik Tzanev has unfortunately not been offered a contract and will leave @BrentfordFC #NTza https://t.co/2RLwiW39xo

Tzanev was miles better than Sail in the U20 WC - possible that he could fit in as understudy for Moss at the Phoenix? Looked to me like he had bags of ability and potential
Nik Tzanev trialling at Wycombe
http://www.getbucks.co.uk/sport/football/wycombe-new-boy-could-next-11653891
I live in Wycombe and watch the side sometimes. If he gets a contract I'll start showing up more. Good luck Nik.
Wycombe, who had no keepers going into this pre-season, were trialing 2 keepers - Tzanev and Scott Brown (ex-Aberdeen). Brown has just signed for them, and started in their 1-2 loss to Aldershot this morning. He shelled in both goals. He was replaced in the second half by "Trialist GK" who could be Tzanev. Wycombe are very secretive about who their trialists are for some reason
Nik Tzanev has played in the second half in all four of Wycombe's pre-season friendlies so far vs. Le Havre, Brentford, QPR and Aldershot.
(confirmed by fan websites and press reports, although the club are not naming trialists)

I like this club. It's owned by the supporters through a trust.
UK-based German comedian Henning Wehn ("Live at the Apollo", "Would I Lie to You?", "Eight Out of Ten Cats", "QI") used to work for them and guest edits their Twitter sometimes:

"I used to work here at Adams Park back in 2002. Lawrie Sanchez was the manager and I don’t think I’ve ever met a more intimidating man." @henningwehn
The club president is their oldest fan who is 102 years old:

Wycombe have signed the other GK on trial, Brown. Sounds like they won't be making any other signings in the near future..
At this stage, I have been looking this up, and all I can find is Brown being Wycombe's only keeper.
I probably haven't done it properly, but if I am right, I don't think Wycombe should stop signing if they only have one keeper?
If he gets injured who will go in goal?

Akinfenwa mate. This lad's a beast. Strongest player on FIFA.

The article implies that they have stopped buying from other clubs. If they have only one keeper, you'd imagine Tzanev is in with a shout, unless they promote youth.

Wycombe has next to no money and often have the smallest playing roster in the football league. Given that they have signed Brown, i really can't see them spending money on a bench warming keeper sadly, especially as they have a playing goalkeeping coach.

So its their GK coach? Barry Richardson?
Geez Louise, this guy is 46. Fair enough they got no money, but still.
Gigi Buffon is 67 and still playing for Italy so it's not unprecedented
Good call.
On trial at Hartlepool United. Played the full game for their reserves in a 2-1 win and sounds like he went pretty well:
Any news?
So, any news on him? Is he still playing for AFC Wimbledon reserves?

I can confirm that he played for AFC's Development Squad this evening and saved a first-half penalty! The Dons won 1-0 against Exeter City's Development Squad (posh way of saying reserves these days). He's clearly doing enough for AFC to keep him around and have a good look.
Next Tuesday is the Development Squad's last fixture of the season, when they travel to Peterborough United. I guess a decision will be made then on whether he earns a contract or not?
Nik Tzanev is starting for AFC Wimbledon's Development Squad again today. Just kicked off (1pm UK time) against Peterborough United. The side's final game of the season so we'll see what happens after this regarding his contract.
Some positive news from Kingsmeadow Stadium today. Nik Tzanev was on the bench for the first team in their final league game against Oldham Athletic. The spot on the bench was as a result of his impressive form for the Development Squad.
Turned out to be a 0-0 stalemate and the Dons have finished 15th in League One.
No news on whether Tzanev will get a contract or not, but it's looking positive.
Their number one keeper, James Shea has not been offered a new deal - opens the door for Nik to impress hopefully.
Tzanev has signed a contract with AFC Wimbledon today. Here
Looks like he got a hair cut too
For anyone interested, Nik very kindly gave of his time today and answered a few of my questions. You can read the resulting interview here.

Looks like has been with the reserves pretty much all season. However got to sit on the bench a few weeks ago when AFC Wimbledon visited MK Dons. Would have heard some interesting comments from opposition fans.
Maybe the normal reserve goalie was too scared to travel to Milton Keynes?!
I presume there is still some bitterness between the 'Wimbledon' clubs??

This has been the only League One game, where Tzanev has featured in a match day squad, this season.
Only gets a brief mention in the link below but it appears Tzanev has been offered a new contract with AFC Wimbledon.
