Ends 3-2. Muscat must surely be on the verge of being sacked, would be terrible for Libby if they get relegated
Liberato Cacace (Empoli | Italy)
Lost to one of the only two teams below them on the table.
Kevin Muscat has reportedly been sacked by Sint-Truiden. https://t.co/hosvCYoFaA

Libby had the most shots and crosses of anyone, he really is one of their best. With Muscat dead and buried, i wonder if he regrets not going to Standard Liege or one of thr Dutch clubs interested
If S-T get relegated wonder if he has a clause allow him to break his contract? If he’s playing well no doubt some bigger clubs will be interested.
Hopefully Trani stays on at S-T if Muscat is sacked. Trani going would probably be harder for Cacace than Muscat out the door
But he’s young, in Europe and playing well. It will work out for him somehow

I would expect Trani will be given the boot as well, a new Manager will want his own staff in place.
It is expected Bernd Hollerbach a German will take over.

Watched every game this season & despite the poor record the team has grown under Kevin.
Unfortunately when scouting & signings besides Cacace are poor there is only so much a coach can do!
Should never have lost today.
^^ Libby's agent.
How do we know the other guy is a better coach... because he's worked overseas longer, played football for a better team as a player??
The question is, who is the best coach for Libby and he clearly thinks Muscat is.
Well, I don't *know* for sure, clearly. But I can see that he has managed at the highest level in France, Spain, and Belgium, and he is currently managing a team/club that is better than Sint Truiden - so I've made a fairly obvious statement.
This.
shaping up to be a horrendous move tbh. stuck in a bad team which he chose over more prestigious options, with everyone he went there for in the first place presumably being sacked...

He's been a regular starter though and will have been noticed by other clubs. It wouldn't have been guaranteed that he would be starting had he gone to a bigger club.
Muscat, Salvachua & Trani all goneski

Full game in a 1-2 loss to Sporting Charleroi (5th).

Assist for the goal too. Nice cutback

I know there is a way to go until the end of the season so not getting too pessimistic just yet, but really hope Sint-Truiden turn it around and avoid the scrap for relegation. Mid table side last year, so here's hoping they can dig themselves out of the mire this season.
By all accounts Libby is doing quite well too, even if the team is struggling. Consensus from the fans seems to be that the squad is quite weak overall. Anyone else have a take on this?
Sounds like their midweek game might be postponed cuz the other team has been hit by Covid.
win by default?
win by default?
Hope Libby can keep up the good play with the new coach.
The whole argument to play for coaches who know him and make him feel comfortable fell apart pretty quick.
win by default?
No.
Had a really good yarn with Liberato Cacace this week on the sacking of Kevin Muscat and Luc Trani, his future, playing through a broken nose and loads more!

Huge 3 points for STVV this morning. Libby with the start.

Full game for Cacace in what was a 2-0 win at Zulte-Waregem (Z-W)
Z-W (14th) played last 30 mins with 10 men, when STVV already 1-0 up.
STVV 17th (2nd last) on GD. Bottom 3 sides all on same points.
2 of the 4 Belgian league games scheduled today postponed. Covid related no doubt.

STVV hang on for the 2-1 win. Full game Libby.
STVV climb off bottom to 2nd last. Very tight at rear of the table. Bottom 5 teams separated by 1 point & GD.
Libby starts again this morning, kick off at 8:45am. This hopefully will be a link to the game http://wiz1.net/channel27
Yellow card for time wasting right at the end, as STVV holds on for their 3rd win on the trot.

Yipe a 1-0 win over Beerschot (7th) that moves STVV up to 14th (of 18 teams) and 2 points above the relegation spots.

Was he going for a three ball throw in?
just realised I have Jupiler league in a bundle of international leagues (not in NZ sorry)
Watched 5 mins of the Beerschot game and Libby ramapages up the left, with a great ball to set the forward away on a counter. Be interesting to see how well we go at the Nix without him.
STVV trying to play out from the back and hold the ball with very limited success in the segment I've watched so far.
Edit: they grew into the game in the first half. Limited opportunities for Libby to roll forward as we are familiar with, mostly attacking on the right. Also seemed that Libby was playing quite high on attack and that the LCB would often cross early or look inside. Still I think he could have much more dominant games based on this evidence and a goal or two would give him and his team mates that bit more confidence.
Bit frustrating- has a trade mark run on 80 mins right into the box, where he loses out. Gets the ball deep twice in the game and twice makes very dangerous runs.
Yellow was for stalling a throw in the last 30 seconds of the game, as you might have guessed!
Customary full game in a 1-2 home loss to top of the table Club Brugge.
S-T with a HT sub sent off at 86 mins (straight red).
Simon Mignolet in goal for Brugge. He started his pro career at Sint-Truiden.
S-T's (15th) starting eleven, made up of 9 different nationalities. The HT sub (from Haiti) made that 10 in the 2nd half.
