James Musa (Indy Eleven | USA)
The announcer at Forsyth Barr thought Ifill was Musa today.
was also at the hutt rec on the 14th
Only if he gets offered a deal
That division has a tonne of MLS reserve sides. So wouldn't be surpised if it is better than the NASL
Well its a two year deal at a professional club for a 22 year old. I dont see the problem with it
Yeah, if he gets consistent game time it's not out of the question he gets picked up by a MLS club in 2-3 years.
Then he can go to Blackburn, Spurs and QPR :)
I'm thinking Anthony Hudson played some part in getting Musa a gig at St Louis in the USL.
Hudson coached US clubs in the NPSL 2003-5 and in the USL Second Division 2005-10
Has burnt a few bridges with the way he left South Melbourne for the USA
Yeah, sounds like he just kind of slipped away.
Captained Saint Louis in their opening game yesterday. 2-0 loss on the road v Louisville City.
All USL games are streamed on YouTube, which will make it easy for Hudson to track Musa and Payne this season.
Twitter account for Musa's international cap? https://twitter.com/LouLads/media

Musa seems to have established his place there quickly.
Props to him - good effort.I'd take him back any day
STARTING XI: Here is your #STLFC Starting Lineup for tonight's match vs. @RichmondKickers!
Hmmm...
Team is mid-pack.
According to the commentator of the above game, click the link to watch, Musa was playing DM before, and well, but has been injured for 6 games.
Just watched the game. Not great football and believe it or not the commentary is worse than Dewhurst and FDJ. Musa played 86 minutes, taken off for an attacker. Took up space more than anything in defense, with his positioning suspect at times, and possibly could have done more to try and prevent Richmond's 3rd goal, did well in the air but was easily taller than almost everyone he went up against, and moved the ball around well, instigating quite a few attacks. Overall, more impressive on the ball than off it, and he seems to be quite important to the team.
Also, props to whoever had the NZ flag behind one of the corners.
Scored a goal in their 5-2 loss to FC Montreal.
Pretty disappointing last couple of results for Saint Louis - having conceded 8 in the past two matches. They aren't setting the world on fire with their results, but they have been miserly and have managed to picked up points along the way.
Wonder if this kid will still be eligible for NZ after this whole ineligibility drama too...

given the fact he's English, I'd love for him to come back here and try and get a pro gig here (or Scotland).
Trailing with Chicago Fire..... fudge me Wayne..
Awesome news, hope it all goes well for him.
He's been very impressive for Team Wellington.
Hope MLS works out for him because he's a much better player than he was in his original Phoenix stint and is hopefully still on the radar.
Was really thrown in the deep end at the Nix. Am sure that wasn't reflective of his ability.
So TV is wrong, he is trialling and this isn't old news from last year?

evidently not.

Still displayed athleticism. Remember Muscat and Durante barking at him.
Good Luck with the trial #Lad
Why aren't the Nix looking at resigning him? Seamonster is gone and Durante can't be far behind.
