On ESPN it says he failed by testing positive for alcohol? Was he under a drinking probation?
On ESPN it says he failed by testing positive for alcohol? Was he under a drinking probation?
Correct, he also had a DUI, and a condition of that was falling under the substance abuse rules for alcohol, and because he is already under the program for Weed it means they could randomly test him for both at any time and hence the 1 year suspension for him (It's also a minimum of 1yr, and is one where he cannot go to the team facilities at all), would be insane if Browns keep him, and would be a surprise to see any team sign him up even following the end of his suspension.../
Also I am a maybe for Superbowl now, got some stuff going on around home meaning I may not be able to head out that day :( If is the case I'll still be waching from home
Would love to join you guys but my mates usually organise something for the day. So I'll be taking in the sights and sounds of the Superbowl from dirty old Tawa.

Fair enough, hope you don't get mugged... :p
right, all locked in for this. Is there someway we will all be able to recognise each other? Should I wear a yellow carnation? Or a t-shirt that says 2-13?
Maybe a Fantasy Loser t-shirt in your case Frankie......
There will be a Booth with my name on it. (Matt Weldon-Smith) so can find us there. I'll probably be in a Redskins top and Jono if he makes it will be in a Vikings one...
I am only coming so I don't get fined
From Four Kings
@FourKingsWelly: @Yakcall we sure are mate! Chilli dogs, buffalo wings and Budweiser. Bud giveaways as well!
Budweiser is horrible stuff. But sounds exciting aside from that!
it's superb owl Sunday. On Monday.
cheers for organising the day Yakcall, although I will feel slightly guilty when I kick your ass when I clean up the league next season

No worries, was good fun! Yeah I'll believe it when I see it and I don't see it happening!!!
Should we do Fantasy Baseball to keep us busy in the offseason?
I'll be playing a Roto version on Yahoo. I managed to fluke a win there last year so they'll put me in a 'winners' bracket league.
The baseball is much more of a time drain IMO as you have games everyday for about 6 months. In the version I play you can make as many trades/pick-ups and adjustments to your line up as you want. Basically you are looking at the schedule and adjusting your line up every single day. Got my draft in late March.
I think you can play a week-to-week type league, where you set your line-up for an entire week. That probably takes less time on a daily basis, but you'd have to spend a bit of time on a Sunday (or whenever) to plan out your week.
Well it is available on ESPN now, I'd be in for a Weekly set-up league, just let me know.
PS. I apologise if I don't always set a line-up (The roto method also confuses me :P)
Will we do Weekly match-ups (Roto Head to Head?) or straight Roto?

Sounds like too much hard work actually...
Sounds like too much hard work actually...
Yeah is a lot of work involved. I play a single Ice Hockey fantasy league and it's hard enough to keep up with...For hardcore fantasy guys they are great, but Hockey, Basketball & Baseball fantasy are quite intense to keep up with.
How well, I'm doing A-league fantasy football. Guess I'll have to live with that.

Looks like I need to be paying more attention to this. Also got your email thanks, will go over it more when have a bit of time to study it.
Jimmy Graham traded to Seahawks (Saints get Max Unger (C) + 1st Rounder, Hawks get Graham + 4th Rounder)
Haloti Ngata traded to Lions
Sam Bradford traded to Eagles (Rams get Nick Foles + Draft Picks)
Is it usually this crazy? Seems to be a lot of big name players moving - although I'm probably just more sensitive to it this year.
Do you think this hurts Jimmy's value in Fantasy now? I can't quite decide. Would probably prefer to have Brees throwing the ball at him, but he could possibly forge something special with Wilson over the next few years (at least give them a viable pass play from the 1 yard line).
No this is completely INSANE. It has been a massive year, I have never seen one this mad.
I think it hurts his value, though some are saying it helps, as he is clearly the #1 option.
I think R.Wilson's value is increased, and the other player with a big increase in value is Mark Ingram, Max Unger is a great RUN Blocking centre, and given the talk of Saints open to trading Brees as well, I think we could see a Power Running team in New Orleans this season.

excuse my ignorance* but when do I need to start getting involved in this again. I saw something (that confused me) about draft picks, so should I be boning up on who is coming into the NFL from college this year? I also think that I keep the same bunch of no-hopers that I had last year, so should I be writing them letters about working extra hard in the off-season?
* anyone would think that I don't know what I am doing, althought 9th out of 10 suggests otherwise
So the NFL Draft is April 30th when the college players get selected to their Pro teams, we'll draft them in here stating about May 14th or so.
And the new season starts in Sept.
Yes you keep the same no-hopers, though you can trade them, drop them, pick up someone else, or draft your new guys and replace the old ones. :D
can't wait for the draft now. Is that sad? Need a fantasy football fix.
Demarco Murray going to the Eagles......now to hope that AP goes to Dallas and I'll be a happy guy (given that the majority of the other Free Agency moves have worked against me so far).
Sounds like the Bucs are another option for Peterson, remember Vikings have all the power, if he comes asking for a trade, he can offer to restructure for a move to Dallas, but Dallas will still have to beat other suitors on their offer as the Vikings are the ones who sign off on that,. and AP can't stop himself being traded :P
