AC Milan patron Silvio Berlusconi has continued to toy with the idea of signing Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer, enthusing that everyone at the club will be pleased should he join the team.
Last week it emerged that Berlusconi dreams of watching the Portugal international play for his side and reportedly told his friends that he will not hold back from buying a champion like Ronaldo.
The 26-year-old joined Madrid from Manchester United in the summer of 2009 for a world record transfer fee of 94 million (80m) and having established himself as one of the indispensable players in the Whites team, has little chance of leaving the Bernabeu any time soon.
However, Berlusconi continues to insist that Ronaldo is on his wish-list and in an interview with Italian television show Processo di Biscardi reiterated his desire.
Cristiano to AC Milan? Everyone has dreams and sometimes they turn into reality, explained the Italian prime minister. If we win the Italian championship [this season], then in the summer we will sign one or two champions. If we were to add Ronaldo to our squad, then I think everyone [at the club] would be pleased.
Berlusconi then gave his opinion on the race for the Scudetto and stated: They [Inter and Napoli] both are formidable opponents, but AC Milan have destiny in their own hands.
Milan are the current leaders in Serie A and are three points ahead of second-placed Napoli and five ahead of Inter, who are third. Only six rounds of matches remain in the championship

AC Milan will make a major signing in the summer, according to agent Mino Raiola.
Raiola, who represents striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, currently on loan at Milan from Barcelona, and Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli among others, has revealed that he has been searching the transfer market for a big name for five months.
"I have been working since January on Milan's big coup, he told Sky Italia. "I hope to be able to do it before August 30.
However, Raiola refused to divulge any name and said: Who is it? Maybe I will tell you on August 29."
Having recently won the Serie A title for the first time since 2004, Milan are set to make summer changes in order to strengthen themselves for next seasons campaign both in Italy and in the Champions League.
The Italian giants have already begun their squad renewal, having extended the contracts of Massimo Ambrosini, Thiago Silva, Mark van Bommel, Flavio Roma, Alessandro Nesta and Filippo Inzaghi.
Milan have also recruited defender Taye Taiwo on a three-year contract, but midfielder Andrea Pirlo will depart after a decade with the club.
Rumours are hes in London working on the deal. Wonder who it is? Most likely a midfielder
