On demand through the Samsung TV app for the Arsenal game last night was fine. Looked a bit juddery to start with but didn't notice it after the first few mins, and there was a minute later on that got bit blurry but could be due to my WIFI.
English Premier League on SkyTV
Tv channel owned by sky selling the idea that streaming sucks? Well I never. There is a 7 day free trial. Suggest you just give it a go.
? It was a genuine question. I don't really have an interest in the EPL enough to pay for a second subscription package. Just wanting to know, as I had previously seen F1 coverage on Spark at a mate's place and it didn't have that issue, but F1 highlights on prime didn't have the same issue that the Premier League is having.
Seemed very low res compared to the quality of their F1 streaming. Hope they get that sorted out quickly.
Well now this just sucks was happily watching the Arsenal vs Burnley game until after half time when the sparksports feed drops. Having to switch to an 'alternate' stream as we speak while spark sorts their shark out. Dodgy af.. -_-

I watched the game too and my feed worked fine. Watched several of their live matches now and haven't yet had any issues. I actually think it's been a fantastic little service with good coverage so far.
I tried to watch the second half of the Arsenal Burnley game and it would play for 30 seconds then drop out over and over until I gave up Happened once for me in the Spurs Man City game too but thankfully has come right
I have asked Spark for a fast fwd option, not the 10 second hop fwd they currently provide. They say they will look at it.

What are you watching on?
It seems the first few that get locked in early for coverage get good coverage. Everyone else suffers. That's what it used to be like when I worked for Telecom in the mid 80's to early 90's and we were looking after the "internet" in its infancy by world standards.

I dunno man, the "internet" hasn't been the issue. It's been their feed of the games. You even see the digital interference because the "We're fixing it" message comes up.
I feel for the Spark Sport FB team. Follow Spark Sport on FB if you don't already and check out the comments anytime they post ANYTHING. They just get slammed, poor old Georgia (I think), she spends her entire time apologising and asking for them to contact SS directly so they look into the issue.
Haven't encountered anything bad about the service yet so don't get all the fuss (Yes I had a look on facebook too).
Wonder if a lot of the people complaining don't have UFB? I'm no technical guru on all this stuff, but I'm guessing if you don't have that at all then you've got no chance. Best investment I've made to be honest.

Using Chrome on laptop or desktop. No fibre.

You realise you can click the progress bar at the bottom of the video to jump through the video right?
Sparks biggest issue is people confusing three different issues:
1. The feed cutting out - i.e., when digital interference can be seen (looks a bit like a video tape) then getting the "Stream will be back soon" message
2. The feed lagging due to server load
3. People having slow broadband, slow home networks, or slow/old computers
Most of the issues people are complaining about are probably #3 and nothing to do about that. Users need to come through to 2019. #1 happened during the Arsenal game, which they should be able to sort out. I don't believe #2 has actually effected them at all yet. (Despite it being what all the comments blame on)

Yep, what I want to do is watch the action while fast forwarding, like I can do with Sky.
No free-to-air EPL highlights or match replays as there has been for some years on Prime TV and previously TV One?
A shame for most of the viewing public.
I'm not fussed about live coverage, so that was enough for me, allied with full matches available on demand on fullmatchesandshows.com

Spot on about #3.
The difference in quality between having regular Broadband (last season struggles...) and UFB (very good so far this season) is quite significant.
I've experienced issue #1, once - during Arsenal vs Burnley on Saturday night.
Only other issue I've had was on day 1 that the smart tv app became available, when I clicked a live stream it said "this event has not started yet" even though it had, so I switched to the app and cast to tv, which worked fine.
That issue was gone next time I used the smart tv app.
I've got a mate who's had all sorts of problems in his first week, he rage quit his subscription in the weekend.

I've had zero issues, probably because I have UFB at home and use the Apple TV app which seems to be very stable. Even during the LFC/Soton game when there were 6 or 7 other games at the same time, it all ran like a dream.
Issue #1 has nothing to do with people's individual broadband situations, my understanding is that that problem was experienced across the board on Saturday night? Happened from the beginning of the 2nd half until about the 65min mark or so.

Yep exactly. Has to do with Spark's feed from the Premier League. Last weekend it was the storm in Auckland which broke one of their satellites. No idea what it was this weekend, but something that is totally fixable and not really got anything to do with the internet.

Can you compare the image to that of when it was on Sky? I know SS have reduced their frame rate to 30fps, from 60 due to some errors. I stream a lot of sport and have UFB etc but find the picture is still good but can't quite match what i got on SKY. I also recently got a new 75" TV so that potentially makes it more obivious...

No noticeable difference to me but you may see it more if you have a 4K TV

Same thing happens with sky whenever it rains. “Atmospheric conditions”
I was browsing the smart tv app last night, watching highlights packages and other random stuff on there, and it seemed to crash constantly. I'd get about a minute into a clip and it would just cut out and return me to my Apps screen.
Not sure if related to my tv or the app to be honest. During live games I will be casting from my phone to remove any risk...
Just finished watching United v Wolves. Don't know if it's something new, as haven't noticed with other games from the weekend, but enjoying the post match interviews. From what I've been seeing in other games it cut's to a 'this service has ended' type message not long after conclusion of a match.
So far had two interviews (different media outlets) with Nuno Espirito Santo, and then Traore & Neves from Wolves. Then had two with OGS (same as earlier) and then Wan-Bissaka and Rashford. Excellent to see if that's going to be the standard offered from Spark Sport across the board - as in, all games. They can take my money now! Well after my trial expires tomorrow...

Think it's only for the games on TV in the UK ie sunday, monday night, and saturday non 3pm kickoffs.
Bein had the interviews last year, just that they were included in the post match studio shows.
while I know we shouldn't talk about rugby here, the World Cup could be a shambles coming up
Was the quality of the film on the news, the same as subscribers receive? If so, it looks pretty poor as if done on someones 3G cell phone.
I quite like it when you watch from the start and can hear a commentator chattting away to their producer.
Poor Spark. Liverpool vs Arsenal having problems, the commentators have even apologised. Clearly problems at the ground out of their control.

I get HD quality, looks great on my 65 inch tv. No issues with quality for me apart from a 1 minute very low resolution section in last nights game.

The quality was good though, it was just the host broadcaster kept switching to a camera angle from the Hubble telescope.
Definite improvement from Spark this week, good to see.

Yea that's quite funny that

My quality is perfect HD watching through the app on my TV
I wonder where the News people get their clips from then??
