So this is what bein connect nz  FAQ now says:

Does beIN SPORTS CONNECT have a catch up/VOD feature?

beIN SPORTS CONNECT does not currently provide a catch up service.

https://connect.beinsports.com/en/faqs/

How utterly, utterly fudgeing pointless.

Doesn't make sense. Why would a streaming service not offer on-demand for something that mostly occurs in the middle of the night? Understand some people prefer to watch live which is fine, but some people who work all week and also get up early for various sports/family commitments on a Saturday choose not to get up at 3am on their Sunday.

I would like to thank BEIN for freeing up a lot of my time that otherwise would have been devoted to watching lots of football through their complete and utter incompetence and uselessness and for their genius in destroying the community that PLP had built up.

Bit of a change in mood here, but I fudgeing love what BeIN Sports are providing. Live, HD football on my tv, highlight shows are up at 9am the next morning so no waiting to see all the goals, all the prematch and post match stuff as well as the daily shows they have on. Not to mention they are showing an extra CL and EL game a week, so there's an option to watch a game that doesn't involve English teams.

And anyone wanting to watch catchup games can go to www.fullmatchesandshows.com to see replays.

Yes, it's great that were back in a situation where piracy is the best option :/

I agree the content is excellent, I have enjoyed it as well. The pundits on match day are absolute gash but the analysis shows, and other leagues etc, are bloody great.

However all that is just an added bonus for me - I like it, but I can do without it.

The bottom line of the product should be just being able to watch all the games whenever I want - that's basically the baseline we expect for our money in 2016 right?

I had that for the last 3 years, and now I don't.

just want to call out how good the BBC premier league midweek magazine show is.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07qqwrd

If you have iPlayer access. Really interesting behind the scenes on crystal palace and pardew this week. Actual football journalism, rather than 'we're the best league in the world' rubbish the league produces.

But you cannot log into it using your Sky login. So I just found out. I rang Sky and they are saying it wont work either. WTF Sky, you made the deal, sort it out. Signed, Paying Customer!

Die Hard is clearly the best Christmas movie ever. They should just play that 24/7 for the whole of December

So in 2013 you said it was the cost that was the issue - you weren't going to buy PLP "on principle" because a monthly cost on top of Sky was bang out of order.

Now that it's Sky charging you the extra rather than PLP, you're ok with it?

No I'm not happy with that. As I said at the time, I dont like competition when it means I have to pay more. Stand by that and it has proved correct.

Very ironic I post this on labour day.

But a thief came in the night, smashed the door down and the horse bolted.

I have had to pay to get it back in the stable.

Bein saying on twitter that the website will be available for this weekend!

Gutted I'm at work missing the football this morning, but the silver lining is that this should be the last time.

At least this seems like they will have an on demand service. Even if it is at some unknown point in the future. Slowly making our way to an ideal scenario.

I signed up to the free trial and had a play - interface seems ok and quality of the picture seems good.  I know it sucks there is no on demand or stuff at the moment but fingers crossed.

Have any existing Bein subscribers through Sky logged in yet? I can't see how to do it? On their FAQ page all I see is this......

I guess giving everyone a month free trial buys them some extra time to get that up and running

I have Bein Connect working on android app, and on Chrome on a windows 10 PC (audio and video working well), but in Opera on the same PC I'm unable to get usable audio (there's sound but the words aren't comprehensible).

Anyone else had audio problems?

I watched the arsenal game live last night on a fairly old samsung tablet, and it was pretty good. Never had any issues, watched it right through, no probs.

Not sure what quality level it was though... far from HD, but ran smoothly and I could see everything so I didn't try to do anything about it...

What picture quality were others getting? Is it adjustable at all? I couldn't see an obvious way to change it while I was in play...

Ran fine after the first 10 minutes of chaos but not ideal. Can't wait for the on demand function.

Watching England-Spain live on Bein2. England 2-1 up. 5 minutes added time. 94:28. TV cuts way to advertisments for Maori All Backs, Sky Movies Disney, Viceland, The Rugby Channel and King in The Ring. TV cuts back to show Gareth Southgate shaking hands with Julen Lopetegui. Banner pops up reading England 2-2 Spain.

Fudge you, Sky. Fudge you.

I've given up on BeIN. Got a fairly reliable setup now using PureVPN and a friends Optus account in Australia, can watch on demand and the quality is decent :)
