Would make more sense if they just gave every team 6 points from those matches (and ones which would not of been played if they fold) so that it is an even competition still.
I am quietly confident after watching us against Southampton, that was one of the best footy matches I've seen in a very long time!
Pompey need to win at least 3 of the 5 reamining games to complete the great escape, of course 2 of those wins must be against Forest and Doncaster.
That goal from Norris at the death to rescue a point was a deadest scorcher.
And put the mighty Royals top!!

Potent stuff, keeper should of had that, suppose it was just so surprising in the dying moments of the game. He's attained hero status in Portsmouth after that haha.
Am thinking, lock in Friday the 13th, Southampton vs. Reading, big decider there.Azevo2012-04-09 23:14:17
Bring it on Azevo...................at least we play better away from home and we have Wolves winger on loan.
Pompey should have a lot of heart in it at the moment, but that doesn't win games. The club could cease to exist if a buyer or significant cash injection is sought by the end of the month I believe.
However, if an owner is found, Chanrai and CSI no longer have any claim at all to any sort of payments to them, just their creditors who they borrowed off.
Pompey will never disappear, even if this current form of the club does, a new one which will be fan owned and essentially run will emerge in the non-leagues which I would be absolutely happy with, there is already a plan emplace to ensure this happens if it occurs.

If Pompey fold and cant complete their games, any points gained against them will be deducted from the winning teams tally. WestHam have beaten them twice and stand to lose 6 points. Southampton, Reading and Birmingham have only played them once and in South's case only got a draw.

Not really.
West Ham have actually won twice to earn six points.
Blackpool have only earnt one point out of 2 games but giving them the other five would put them level with West Ham.
Southampton would pick up another two for a game they could only draw and they still had to play away.
About the only fair way to do it, and this could have hapened in the A League, is to default the team and award a 2 - 0 win to those who still have to play them. Still not an even equation but the closest you are going to get. As big Sam said, The Football League make enough money to finance a team through to the end of the season to leave credibility in the table, As are FFA at the moment with GCU
I'll definitely take your word for it, if it is what they have organised to happen, then I'm sure it will suffice. I myself am pretty hopeless with mathmatics when it comes to such matters, however, Pompey v Borro is soon, as well is Bristol v Ipswich, Tommy v Wood which to be honest I am curious about. Heh.
Morning..I will take the win. Wish all our games were on the road. 9 w 3 d away versus 6 w 8 d home.
Tommy won the battle..doubly.
Gah, not really surprised there,
feeling that Relegation now, Forest will definitely be safe Nickel, also heard Chanrai wants to keep Pompey propped up AGAIN, would rather liquidate than see that c**t take control again.

If anyone wishes Pompey a slow painful death, then they got their wish, Chainrai, former owner and c**tologist is set to assume control again..
The Royals on the rise and now threatening West Ham and Southampton. With QPR going down, the ORIGINAL hoops will be in the premiership instead!
When was the last time Reading were in the premier league? Few years ago now isn't it?
Reading have definitely been the quiet movers, thought you lot were just mid tabling it.Azevo2012-03-04 21:11:51

Reading v Pompy at 9am on Wednesday, exciting, preparing for another loss. Luke Varney has been loaned out to Leeds for the rest of the season.
Have a habit recently of being late season chargers - seem to pick up a decent signing that no one wants that later appears to be a masterstroke. Last season was Ian Harte and this season Jason Roberts
Relegation battle for Pompey against Bristol, a part of me wants us to win, but another part wants to see Wood get a hat trick!
away to Brum..need 3 points to compensate for poor home form and stay in the 6..
argh..two 3-0 losses.
0-0 against Bristol, stoked, though Wood might knock a few past Pompey.
Boro just need a few wins in a row to secure play-off position I'd think?

Unbelievable that in such a tight competition Reading can string 9 wins out of 10 together. Makes you wonder how far gone they were two months ago. They have to play West Ham, Southampton and Birmingham all away yet, but nothing seems to be stopping them at the moment.
It's because McDermotts a legend!!
Possibly more appropriate for the Media Thread.
How we all feel about "Games for TV Not the Fans" Leicester version
" The visit of West Ham next month has been moved to accomodate TV coverage.
Our final home game of the season originally set for an amazing Saturday afternoon has now been moved to Monday April 23rd for the men in suits.
It'll now kick off at 7.45pm regardless of how much it annoys the paying fan.
Tickets purchased will still be valid, and the club will offer a full refund to fans who can no longer attend the game.
But if you do have to miss the final game of the season, a game that could possibly decide our promotion fate, don't worry you can be an armchair fan and watch it on Sky Sports.
Which is reassuring."

Dear Ipswich.
THX
Please f**kING score.

News.
1-1 with Boro ain't to bad. More excited about 2-0 over Hull, Rekik and Scupuzzi who were just brought in from Man City have turned out to be a revelation.
WE ARE GOING UP!
Anyone seen Azevo?
Shhhh... Haha. Pompey is going to hopefully be bought using a fan ownership model, which will probably see the club drop to conference level, but thats fine by me.. Over the years there has been just to much deceit, lying and false promises, will be nice to see a community club in Portsmouth.
It's rather exciting for me actually. I hope it goes through and no one else approaches to buy. Which is highly unlikely, seeing as Chainrai wants way to much for what its worth.

Suddenly, Reading.
Lucky to be able to watch Pompey v Southampton,
Saints looked like they had it in the 89th or so minute at 2-1, then David Norris with an absolute bullet from outside of the box skimming past the post to make it 2-2.

Second actually
The Pompey game was like a cup final. great atmosphere even from the brief highlights.
Typical of this league. Top v Bottom draw.
Hope they get out of it.
