What are these flashy forwards even up to? What is happening in training that Cavani can play his way into the side and force a formation change that completely omits all your wide forwards? If I was a manU fan I would fully expect a front four of Sancho, Rashford, Fernandes and Ronaldo to be starting week in week out, with Cavani, Lingard and Martial offering punch from the bench. The fact that it is not happening suggests there are some serious issues going on behind the scenes. I can't imagine 3 at the back and 2 strikers was ever in the plan before the season kicked off.

Fudgeing woeful first half 2-0 was, and is flattering (as it stands at the minute anyway) - could have easily been 3 or 4 zip at the break, but for a couple excellent DDG saves.
Weren't at the races from the first kick of the ball, and to play a flat back 5 and still get ripped to shreds down the flank, allowing them to whip the ball in is just fudge€n criminal. Midfield of McFred just getting dragged all over the place and pulled from position, getting picked apart at will, and the fact, especially in that first half, we were lucky if we strung 5 passes together. Excruciating watch.
Just flicked coverage off with 10 to go because it's like watching someone suffer death by 1000 cuts.
Will be surprised if Ole keeps his job after this one. Maguire can piss off too, he has been USELESS!
He has to go. The season is basically over even if someone else comes in. What we need is a new set of tactics, new systems, new passing patterns, new defensive methods. It all needs to change.

The score may have only been 2-0 but could have been 5. This was a hammering and it certainly was not a surprise to me as I have been on and on about the caliber of players for some time.
“Last season, United kept five clean sheets in the six league games against City, Chelsea and Liverpool. He’s won four of his nine games against Pep Guardiola. That wasn’t the aspect of his management that used to be doubted. So what has changed? Why have United let in seven goals in two home games in a fortnight against Liverpool and City while being embarrassingly outclassed?”

Fred and McTominay are playing like garbage? Beats me why we don't give VDB a chance though.

Because Ole has combined being very risk-adverse with just generally not being very good.
Screwed my FF year a bit. I’d figured on a United rebound and captained Fernandes. After having been let down by United captain choices this season quite consistently.
Glad I chose to go drinking last night instead of watching that dross.
The headache this morning is about the same as watching United recently however.
Ole won't be staying after this. Question is, who are we getting in to fix this mess?
Roy Keane?
Fudge me, could you imagine????
Ten Hag at Ajax or Luis Enrique.....anyone but David Brent Rodgers.
As I mentioned earlier, it wouldn't be stupid to get Quieroz in on a short term deal.
Drums banging for Zidane. What do people think of that? I can't see him going for it.
after the gunners loss Sol Campell and michael owen were discussing who would be the next manager, Zidane was mentioned but was seen as someone who wouldnt really work as he didnt speak English.
I hope we can be sensible about our next manager. Anyone who simply says "proven track record" or "he's a proven winner" should be instantly ignored - that's how we ended up with Jose Mourinho and LVG.
This squad doesn't need a rebuild. It needs tweaks. We need a manager with a footballing vision that fits the team - not the other way around.
The likes of Ten Hag sounds fantastic on paper. If not him, surely there are managers with potential across Europe who aren't named Rodgers or Pochettino (as Neville has suggested). The latter is quite bizarre to me. Have people forgotten how dire Tottenham were at the end of his reign?

If I were you I'd take Pochettino in a heartbeat. I reckon he'd have the squad humming in no time. And yes Spurs were bad at the end there but I think they were hungover from the highs of the season before, their best in such a long time. Plus it is Spurs, they have history with that sort of thing, a good implosion is part of their DNA. Klopp went very badly in his final days at Dortmund too. A job turning bad at the end doesn't mean a Manager is no good. I honestly thought they'd have given Pochettino more time at Spurs myself.
But the way Poch's Tottenham slowed down was remarkable. They were so static. Harry Kane was running the team, dropping to almost defensive mid. Their whole style of football just fell apart.

Neither can Bielsa, he managed to pick up a gig.
I imagine Zizou is fluent in Spanish and French, so that's half the squad sorted anyway. Could always get Evra as a translator, he speaks a lot of languages.
Poch is a quality manager. It ended poorly but he was brilliant for Spurs, genuinely the only time I’ve been worried they would win a major trophy in my lifetime.
Plus he did well prior to Spurs at Southampton, so has plenty of Premier League experience to call upon.
I reckon he would be a brilliant appointment personally.
Roy Keane, If only to get rid of the under performing free loaders and egotistical wastes of space. So that's Fred gone, Pogba gone, Maguire gone........
Keane would be a nightmare in my opinion, I think he's too unhinged for modern management. Solsjkaer got the job because he knew the values of the club and how to instil them in the players. He did do that, you could see the effort and desire was there, but ultimately he wasn't actually good enough at setting them up on the pitch and getting them to play well. I would think Keane would be similar. He'd come in and flush out any personalities, the team will be all blood and thunder on the pitch, but I doubt they'd be technically good enough, same as Solsjkaer.

Bit harsh to base your opinion of a Manager on a 3 month period where he had major injuries and fatigue in the squad, they were hungover from the champs league final loss which was a huge blow for them, and their key playmaker was agitating to leave and not starting. I think the 6 premier league seasons prior to that spoke enough for his quality.

Possibly too harsh but Tottenham had issues in the run-up to the final. It can't all be put down to a CL hangover. And the football itself was not amazing.
Sure Pochettino when he was flying high sounds great. But he had problems reinvigorating a stagnant Tottenham... which is exactly challenge number 1 at Manchester United.
Look I'm not going to be disappointed if we sign Poch but I'm also willing to put my hand up and say there are some red flags there as well. He's definitely not a silver bullet.
There were some massive red flags when Ole was given the job. Poch has at least had some EPL experience . Ole's appointment was proven to be a disaster.
