Wow that's amazing. I hope we'll see some official figures later on. Good first 30'. Marist have come out of their shell and have created more than TW but no shots on goal yet. Nate H the best player for us I'd say with Kayara right behind him.
Team Wellington... no longer an association with Ole. Chur
Well done Marist.....come on TW
Well deserved lead to be honest. They're playing the better football. Heat must be hard for us to deal with. Doubt Allen ever experienced anything like this and both he and Watson have barely been seen
Watson looked like he was about to spew....hope the second half is dif
Nate H off and Taylor Schrijvers on. I understand wanting to bring him on but we've just lost that little bit of mobility we had in the first half
Kayara injured. Kilkolly on. Shame as Roy was playing well but at least it's an attacking move
Watson off Mulholland on
20' to go. Better in the second half but you get a feel Marist can score each time they counterattack. It will take something pretty special to get a point out of this. We're just not creating enough dangers and shooting on goal enough.
1-1! Left foot volley by Kilkolly. Lucky to get there to begin with and tight angle but it's in. That's all that counts. Fa'arodo was off for only a few minutes and we scored. And after the goal great save by Scott to deny Marist a 1v1 opportunity
1-1 at the end with Marist missing two good chances late in the game. Nice game, thought Barcia worked very hard and Kilkolly was quite lively.

Was an improvement with Taylor on. Team looked more together and he put the ball through from the back for TW goal. What you lose in one area you gain in another. Great save by Basalaj.
I agree - it worked better in the end. I still think we were quite lucky overall to get one point if we look at the overall amount of chances created by either team. Hopefully the boys can acclimatize quickly. The next two games are easier at least on paper.

Attendance was counted as 12,000... I'd say that was rounded up but still imagine it was over 10k https://www.oceaniafootball.com/competition-list/o...
Was just about to post this! Great result!
Brilliant when you look at Auckland City game and the other one played in Auckland and it gets 250 people. Not to put down Auckland but its a real shame to see such a big difference.
To be fair, this is a one off event in a place without as much competition for entertainment.
Honiara does have around 6% of the population of Auckland.

It's not putting down Auckland as Wellington would have got about the same had there been a group here. It's NZ that's the issue, Football isn't the number one sport like it is in the Solomon Islands, also not sure what sort of overseas football they get on TV over there. But NZ used to get bigger crowds for local football before Sky started showing English premiership regularly.
For the record I was at the Auckland - AS Venus game I counted about 350-400. I was told there were about 600 for the Lautoka-Madang. Would expect 1000+ at next saturday's Auckland City v Lautoka game thanks to all the Fijians that live in Auckland
Score - I thought the game was on at 1400 hr today - but it's 1500 actually. Gives me time to try and sort as much as I can here and try and sneakily watch some of it!
Wow Taylor Schrivers gets his first ever TW goal after 1 and a half minute from a well rehearsed free kick!!!
Watson misses a sitter - all alone in the middle of the box, free kick played into his feet and he didn't put it away.
36 degrees out there today - gonna be a tough gig for all involved! TW the better team so far, Lupe defending deep and happy to counter attack.
Ex-TW player Michael Fifi'i thinks he's still playing for TW as he passes it to Allen for an easy finish.
Feed crapped out twice in the last 5 and I missed Allen's goal (2-0). There are about 260 people watching so I wonder if that's why it keeps crashing.

Just realized you can watch the highlights soon after they happen by clicking on the event you want to see (right hand side of the feed).
Michael Fifi gave the ball away at the edge of his box and Allen tapped it in.
3-0 after 30', Ross Allen with a well taken pen after Jack HS caused a Lupe player to handle the ball in the box. Looks like it might be a bit of a rout.
Hopefully, TeeDubs will need the goals and its going to come down to goal difference against Marist for 1st and they will want to finish first to get the home quarter finals.
Jack HS makes it 4 after 40'. Quick release by Basalaj after he picked up a corner kick and he claims the assist!
4-1 - the Samoans get one back with a pen.
The man from Guernsey gets a hattrick after tapping in a nice cross from the right. 5-1 with 20 or so to go.

Been reamed by the officiating as per.
Gulley is somewhat better than Galloway.
he's new zealand's azpilicueta. maybe one for fritz to consider? jose might push his case
1-1, that goal from Ross Allen was sick nice assist by Scott Hilliar
TW 4 - 1 MG 80'
Finshes 5-1 and Team Wellington finish top of the group and will have a home quarter at Davey F. Draw for quarter will be made on 5th March and quarter played over weekend of 7-8th April
Miramar have Napier at home on the 7th. Will be interesting to see how that works out.

somehow I think OCL will trump the Central League!
If the OCL game is planned for the Saturday, MAR v NCR will be on the sunday or vice versa, no drama
