FT Christchurch United 1 Nomads 0 - bit of drama in added time with United on a quick break out with Dublin Boon, Nomads keeper bringing a player outside area which drew a red card.

Critical games down the bottom of the league too. Both Mosgiel and Selwyn will see those home games against opponents with variable form as offering at least a point. Considering the difficulty of their R18 fixtures, that could be decisive.
Plenty of key match-ups in Round 17 - all games on Saturday. Yes looks to be advantage to United to claim their first major title since 1991 but maybe a twist or two left. Pity the schedule does not mean all Round 18 fixtures are not all kicking off at the same time (day) which would add to the drama. GOOD AS GOLD
Cashmere will need a decent win again the Royals cause Utd will hit Mosgiel for at least 12
Cashmere will need a decent win again the Royals cause Utd will hit Mosgiel for at least 12
Big overturn needed though. e.g. if Cashmere win by 2 goals (foreseeable), United will need to win by 8+. Remember they only won 4-0 against Mosgiel last time. It's closely poised.
Looks like there has now been changes to the kick-off times for both the games that will determine the champions - Christchurch United vs. Mosgiel and Dunedin City Royals vs. Cashmere Technical, with both now having a 1:15pm KO

Have to argue it's deserved, they were simply a better footballing team over the 18 games. Cashmere scratched out a fair few lucky wins, including this week and last week! Hopefully both will go well in the National League.
Promotion play-off. 1st leg between FC Twenty11 and Roslyn Wakari will be played in Christchurch - Avonhead Park at Midday this Saturday - 10 September with the 2nd leg in Dunedin the on 17 September at 12:30pm. at Ellis Park
FC Twenty11 should come in as comfortable favourites really. But hopefully Roslyn keep it close enough this Saturday to make it a game worth attending next week in Dunedin...
