After yesterday's good news with Ian Sharps and Shane Cansdell-Sherriff agreeing deals at the club Town have been handed a new injury blow.
Striker Kris Bright will undergo surgery on his left shoulder on Saturday which will see him miss the start of the pre-season.Kris has had an ongoing problem during the season with his shoulder but the op was put on hold while Kris was on stand-by for the New Zealand World Cup squad. He is now booked to have the surgery which is expected to keep him out of action for around 6 weeks.
This will add to Town's injury worries in the forward line with Nathan Elder having undergone knee surgery recently. This operation was a success but Nathan isn't expected to be back into training until after the Christmas period.
Town manager Graham Turner will now be assessing his striking options.
