My little sister had the chance to get a signed Auckland City ball. She turned it down, despite it having Vicelich's signature on. She said: "I don't really like Auckland City. I'm a Waitakere United fan." Hero My goodness, I have trained her well. The world needs more people like this, who are loyal and won't sell their soul for the chance of fame and success!!!
Gunner,
I wasn't expecting us to create those chances but once they created them I certainly expected to score from at the very least one of them.
Agreed, a win tomorrow would be great.
NZF website says the game is on SS3 but according tothe Sky guide on TV its actually SS1 from 1.45 am.
nzherald.co.nz says "Tomorrow 2am (NZ time) live SS1 (from 1.45am)." not should where their source is from tho.
Maybe be its on both channels??
Edit:I just checked the skytv.co.nz tv guide and they have it on SS1 and they should know and nzf website hardly ever gets these things right.AllWhitebelievr2009-12-16 23:00:29
Bloody hell. 2-0. Shouldn't be that at all. Should be 1-1. Atlante really are quite terrible for the champions of CONCACAF. I assume they won a Champions League of sorts beating the best teams from the USA?
got my stream back 2 seconds before seeing gooooooooooool. b*llocks
appeal for handball
Nipple handballs.
Handball!!!!! slow reply shows it!!
bloody ref!!!!
Possession just came up and we have 24%. Still maintain it should be 1-1.
Another shameless handball. Where's the damn yellow?
Young sets them up and our defender Ulhmann fails hard. Fortunately their striker sucks. The wrong Marquez I believe it was.
we should be 2-1 and jumpng for joy.
looks like they are happy with 2-0
Auckland City are playing pretty lazy.
Why does Atlante have nicknames on the back of some of their shirts? Are they a highschool team?

Waste a good chance then waste a corner.
Then Young wastes one.
FFS.
Should be 4-1.

young was outplayed. big time.
nice save spoonley
Hopefully Spoonley picks up a contract. He's played well.
Score a goal Auckland.
Score a goal Auckland.
Looks like substitution from Atlante to soak up time.
Urlovic on for us. Hope he can pull out a few tricks.

my feed provider has decided to change channels
3-0. Son of a bitch.
well dont auckland city, you've come a long way and beat a club in the first round. Hats Off! oh and you picked up a cheque
not bad for part time team. darkhorse2009-12-13 06:50:22
oh well. shame we conceded the third
as long as ACFC are up for it, they could do OK against the African team...
Still the matter of fifth place play off on Thursday morning. We could up the earnings to $1.5m USD (over $2million NZD).
We are completely to blame for that loss. We had at least 3 good chances to score which we ruined ourselves. Nothing to do with brilliant defending from Atlante, we just shot ourselves in the foot. They should be extremely disappointed they aren't going on to play Barcelona, but proud of how far they got.
Hopefully we get a victory against that team from the Congo.

Gunner,
A little harsh don't you think? An amatuer side can not really be expected to score 3 from 3 attempts.
The first goal was a shocker, but aside from that, Ats.. deserved the other two. I felt they actually played quite well and looked quite good on the counter with the pace of Coombs and Hogg looking to overlap.
Should be a good game against the African side, hopefully we can sneak a win and make it a really, really succesful campaign.

The African team has a weak defence (with obvious decent attack), Auckland is in with a chance if they don't hold back and attack while keeping their defence in shape.
Yes she sounds very ............................................special.... ...how many in your loyal team have played for us ..and vikyverky.........
Don't be hating. I meant my sister, not my team! Loyalty means very little to the players, but for fans - and one so young- loyalty is the most important trait.

It would certainly make Sepp choke on his cornflakes if they did.
Nice piec in the Herald this morning.

No messing about at the back and I am sure we can produce a credible result. Possession would be a plus. Is fitness an issue when there's only 90 minutes left in the tournament. Good luck to them, searching for a result.
....
Did anyone see the other match, Pohang v Estudiantes? 3 reds against the Korean team & Denilson still managed to score.
Makes me think Estudiantes will struggle against Barca.edward l2009-12-16 21:42:52
