Feel like that's a better move for him than the Jets was. I wonder if they'll play him further up the field when Farrell is back. Always felt he'd do better further up.
Must be some jet skis and bowling 🎳 there too!
Damn man.. I don't normally cry 😥
1st goal last week @ 5m 30 (Bonus Mario Barcia rocket at 1m 25) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlnzT0BQLko
Was wondering when he'd pop up again for a new club. Definitely a step down in quality, but good to see him land a new gig.
Good luck to him.
Maybe an illustration of how tough the EFL is compared to the A league? One bad or even middling performance can see you dropped or out of favor?
coochiee Yeah Tass Mourdoukoutas and Luis Lawrie-Lattanzio were both at York United. Also ex Waitakere and TeeDubs midfielder Ollie Bassett won MVP for the league last year, playing for Atlético Ottawa.
Sandoval should be much better than all three of them based on pedigree.
RR
Debuted as recently as AWs last September. Since then the Socceroos have only had their 4 Qatar WC games, and Devlin was likely just thrilled to make the WC squad. Also he hasn't started Hearts' last 2 matches, so he could have a niggle.

He had been knocking on selection for awhile & was called up at the last possible time. Only has played once + got totally ignored all thru the Olympics. Anyways he starts tonight, time for him to cement his spot going forward.
RR
He seems to rate him more than Stensness at least. I reckon Stensness will likely be regretting his decision to play for the Aussie's come 2026, he would of had a chance to make the NZ squad as a defender; I can't see him making the Aussie team in a few years time though.

A lot of time between now and 2026 for Stensness. He was there in June for the Peru game and started against both Saudi Arabia and Japan in March 2022 when they still needed to win for automatic qualification, so by no means were they token cap-tying procedures. Though he was played as a midfielder in those games, whereas he plays exclusively as a centre-back for Viking.
He would have probably been there against the All Whites in September (which would have been funny) given Arnold selected a few players as a last minute trial, but he was injured so missed almost the entire second half of the Eliteserien season. That also probably cost him a World Cup spot. Eliteserien also hasn't restarted yet in 2023, so his last competitive game - bar one Norwegian Cup match a fortnight ago - was mid-November. That probably cost him a chance at this team. But I don't think he's done by any means for the Socceroos.

Good hit, but you’d think the keeper should do a bit better. Oli gets that 9/10 imo.
YoungHeartHM I miss that dude
RR Not playing from the looks of it.

Next week's A League All Access will be featuring Uli Davila.
Devlin has just scored in the Scottish FA Cup to put Hearts up 2-0 over Hamilton Academical.
jobs for the boys, Hoops will kill it in that league.
Must be some jet skis and bowling 🎳 there too!
Water sports is pretty popular I understand with the expat UAE community, in those all year round warm waters. That and it being a base for hundreds of long legged airline staff, means Taylor is probably quite content there.
Does Taylor coach there?
Damn man.. I don't normally cry 😥
Ott is having a great start at his new club St Alban Saints in the Victoria NPL. Having already scored on debut the weekend prior, he got a hat-trick on Saturday to bring his tally to 4 goals in 2 matches.

Ben Waine sems to be out of favour now at Plymouth. He had a start recently in a league game that was lost. He was subbed at half time. has not even made the bench since apart from the lower league knock out cup semi last week where he was one of seven subs. That game went to penalties with Plymouth making their maximum of five changes. Ben and the reserve goalie being the two not used.
I wonder what has gone wrong?

Injured maybe.
Coach gave a lot of praise in first couple of games.

yeah, much lower level than the a league, I'm surprised.
There was 2 ex ALM fringe players at one of the CPL clubs last season. Canadian football is on the up, Vancouver a beautiful (if expensive) city to spend a BC summer. Maybe he's on some sort of marquee deal.

Scrappy Doo an unused sub in a 3-1 win for the Socceroos over Ecuador at Parramata Stadium. Scorers Irvine, Mabil & Kuol.
Greive's SM team mate Baccus got 62 mins. Goodwin & Aiden O'Neill only starters from the ALM. Game 2 is at Docklands.

I just don't think Arnie rates Devlin that much, he gets selected but rarely sees minutes.

Especially the way Deng got mauled in this most recent series!
Devlin got a knee in the head, leading to a Tim Brown head bandage, as Socceroos lost 1-2. Off at 54 mins (1-1)

With the activity in the u20's thread, it got me wondering how Eugenio Pizzuto is going?
