Melbourne Victory - Kurzed.
He is being given full control, recruitment, list management, support staff etc
Always puzzles me when I read this. As if any coach that's worth anything would accept any other terms?
Caroline Carnegie has also been appointed as a Managing Director of the Club.

Carnegie the APL legal team during the unbundling of the leagues.
She will be the first woman to lead the admin of an APL.
While we have awarded Victory Medallists tonight, the players and the Club are in no way celebrating our A-League results this season #MVFC pic.twitter.com/9yhpxTeh8f

Lulz. I guess after the Kamsoba looking happy at a nightclub post loss, they wanna avoid the social media outrage.
Welcome to #MVFC, Fabrizio Cammarata and Luciano Trani 🤝

Good friend of the Cacace family from all accounts, and played a big hand in Libby signing in Belgium.
Trani wouldn't be a bad target to replace Uffie, if Talay moves on at the end of his 2 year contract, and Trani had head coach ambitions at all. He would know the NZ football scene more than most in Australia.
He has been highly regarded for years. I presumed he must have only wanted assistants gigs

Ok. I decided to just pay $44 & get facts.

Yes, $6.7M loss in FY2022.
But,
Football department spending was LOWER than FY2019.
However,
REVENUE in FY2019 was $8 MILLION higher than FY2022.
FY2022, included Covid restrictions on crowds.
Revenue hit hard & driven loss up. https://t.co/RNy205YDwC pic.twitter.com/AKeXIxSTgo
An interesting break down on Victory's recently brought to light financial headwinds.
When it rains it pours eh?
Would be interesting to see how other clubs stack up, given Victory are the biggest club in the league. Covid has played it's part in this, but obviously when you've got teams making substantial losses it's not good now is it.
Would hate to see how WelNix stack up 😬
Interesting that the big losses started in FY2019 (July 2018-June 2019), yet it was their FY of highest revenue. They hosted an elimination final that year (May 2019) against the Nix.
Anyway a $6.7M loss in FY2022 is huge. From memory VUC were against the GF going to Sydney for 3 years?

The Melbourne Victory chairman, Anthony Di Pietro, stepped down from his role as a director of the Australian Professional Leagues on Tuesday in protest at the finals decision.
I know it's the Victree thread here. But does anyone know if WelNix owe anything to the APL?

no hard evidence to back these just a bit of guesswork.
All based on guess work though.
The crazy thing is they've doubled down on their squad, with the likes of Fornoroli and Nani being late signingswhich they've made since signing that deal. It's a risky gamble that won't pay off, and with the calibre of the club has put the entire league at risk.
Scans on Saturday have confirmed that @luisnani has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).

Everyone at Melbourne Victory is devastated by the news and will support Nani through his recovery.

I said earlier, when it rains it pours.
Well it's turning into a fully fledged bloody hurricane right about now.
With their fans attendance and member numbers I thought they would be rolling in it.
What do our owners lose every year?
Football Australia CEO James Johnson is set to hand down the final sanctions to Melbourne Victory over the Melbourne Derby pitch invasion in a press conference at 2pm today.

On second thought, softer than initially thought as a good chunk of those "fines" are just costs for repairing damages and hosting the extra game.
As for the result, for sure thought it'd be a 3-0 result for City, case closed.
Going to be bloody awkward covering that replay.
AAMI going to be a ghost town (compared to what it was) for the rest of the season too.
