I only like it because Jeff doesn't. Love you jeff <3
Melbourne City FC - Just another Pissant Town?
Free to make your own calls. We agree on a lot though...
Correct. The way I actually feel is that it is a good idea, as it makes the players seem more accessible to the fans, rather than just symbols of the club, but it looks pretty tacky on the kit. I'm on the fence.
I like the idea of making players accessible, but how about they do it when they introduce the team & put them up on the big screen, show their picture with their handle underneath.

This.
@MelbourneHeart signed fmr Perth Glory defender Jamie Coyne til end of season
Wonder if he has got a clause saying that he gets a another contract if he makes a certain amount of appearances. It has worked so well for him in the past ...
Good riddance. A thug and a hack.
Cheerio, cheerio, cheerio.
Have to say, I'm not one to enjoy other people's misfortunes - but kinda happpy he's gone.
I'll never forget that tackle on Leo - and how he didn't break his leg remains a mystery.
Like HN said - good riddance to him. Twat
With the January transfers of Behich and Michael Marrone, the release of Gray and injury to Mitchinson, Heart has signed a replacement in former Sydney FC and Perth Glory defender Jaime Coyne, 32, who has recently returned to Australia from a stint with Indonesia Super League club Sriwijaya.
Gray only played 1 game. Him leaving opens up another visa spot for Heart.
Looks like the Heart may have filled their visa spot with Marcel Meeuwis.

Heart fans are the latest to jump on the silent protest bandwagon according to twitter.

Signed Jeremy Walker on a pro contract.
He has done a decent job since Marrone left for China.
Heart announced a bunch of changes to their squad today, the biggest new is that they have signed Iain Ramsey from Adelaide.
Fred, Simon Colosimo, Matt Thompson and Clint Bolton have been released, and Mate Dugandzic, Jonatan Germano, Nick Kalmar and Sam Mitchinson all have signed extensions to their contracts.
Ramsey is a good pick up.
[Edit: tons of cap space freed up also]
also think it'll be good for Aloisi to have moved on some of the guys he was playing with - I'm sure it would be hard to rark them up at times.
I've never been convinced by Ramsey. Poor man's Leckie
I wonder if they have re-signed their Physio?
Wonder if this has more truth than the CCM one

Nope.
article factually incorrect. Have received offer and rejected outright.
I can absolutely see why South Melbourne would be keen on this, and on one level it would probably be a great thing for the club. At the same time I can absolutely see why it was rejected. Heart still seem like a team without a soul - a genuine franchise rather than a club. I don't know how they go about changing that
Don't reckon FFA will grant an A league franchise to an NSL club; but not sure if this is enshrined anywhere. South Melbourne facilities and setup are top notch.
Fact is, the Heart brand still has far more fans than the South Melbourne one - most SM fans are Victory fans except for a handful of bitters.

Aloisi has been saying they plan to convert Ramsey into a Left Back. This wont end well.
In a massive boost, crowd favourite Behich returns to the Heart on a one-season loan deal from Turkish Super Lig club Bursaspor.
Seems like a backwards move to me, probably on the way out of Bursapor. And what does this mean to the Ramsey to LB move.
Kewell, Wielaert and now Engelaar, Shit. Heart might actually go alright this season.
Engelaar is such a good signing, if we had signed him I would of lost the plot.
Oh Tando, don't you ever change. (1:03 & 4:50)
He is sooooo average.
why do teams keep picking him - he is god aweful
Bad news for Melb Heart. There are fears that Engelaar has fractured his leg.
Wow that really sucks! poor guy, oh well least we dont have a marquee with a broken leg!
