Australia Cup - Other Australian games
I'm going to be so bold as to suggest a few NZFC teams compete as well.
Hopefully that will all change when the nix get the license by themselves in 2011

We should be involved. We'd come in during the 4th round or round of 16 with the rest of the A-League clubs.
If the idea is farfetched, the so-called pre-season cup can be set up in a knock-out format even.
This would mean that only a small number of state teams would have to make the trip, plus gate sale shares would be good for small clubs

then just combine this with the League so the season is even longer. Also ditch the knockouts at the end of the league.
Easy

You're average Aussie punter likes a grand final.

Sydney City still exist ? I thought they had gone.
FFA Cup kicking off tonight. Stream of the live TV game - http://ifirstrow.eu/watch/272240/1/watch-broadmead...
It seems all of the first round games are at community stadiums. I'm all for spreading the game around but why play Newcastle vs Perth at some ground called Wanderers oval when that is in Newcastle already? It almost seems like the FFA (or whoever) are trying to keep the competition small.
Spreading the love to begin with, so the competition is accepted etc I guess.

Sure but it's Newcastle vs perth and the game is playing at a stadium in Newcastle with capacity of 1000. It;s actually the stadium where Broadmeadow are playing the Strikers right now. A cup is better than no cup but I think the competition could have been done better.
Anyway, I'm enjoying the action tonight.
i like this ffa cup, i like it alot.
extra time here we come.
Excellent effort from South Springvale given they don't play in NPL Victoria. There was a crowd of over 2,000 in Brisbane and it seems like there was at least 1,000 every where else.

Its a shame we don't have home games, or even TV coverage. Makes it hard to get into. I'd say I have minimal interest at this stage.
Magic keeper sent off!

You have internet, you have coverage. I watched from my hospital bed on a laptop using mobile broadband.
It was great!

And how much did that cost to watch? $50?

The games are played at the home grounds of the clubs so they can make money from it ... so if say Olympic play SFC they will play at Olympic's ground and Olympic keep all the gate money...
