Hospital administrators.
Feckin useless.
I know a Hospital Admin and she is awesome at her job, she is tiny but would also rip your lungs out for saying that as she used to run a very dodgy bar and has been a security orderly.
Like I said tiny wee thing she absolutely destroyed me in an arm-wrestling comp and she's older than me. Best of three she won the lot and I was trying.
From what I've seen on her CV the admin staff have sh*te loads of different jobs to do and a horrible workload and with sh*t pay. They don't just answer the phone they do admission, legal, admin paper work, type reports for everyone, enter the staff rosters/pay/hours, annual leave, sick leave. Order the ward/equipment repairs, sort out patient and staff transport, manage the ward transport, that's getting a fleet car to a garage sort of thing. Do the filing, (massive job), order all the stationary equipment, train other admin and cover other wards as well as their own, take notes at many meetings and type up said notes. Keep the ward staff updated. Also a go to person on things like pay and leave and they meet and greet visitors.
I've probably missed stuff too.
Folk just do know half of what they do. G.P receptionists, well that's another story.
