Anything that makes a point? I'd better triangle that this tread has yet to explore. Other wise we'll go round and round in circles (which will never get to the point). HarryHotspur2008-02-17 09:10:47

What an acute observation, LG. Very different from some of the obtuse puns I have read at other times. Shall we start betting on these puns? It would require equal collatoral    though.....HarryHotspur2008-02-17 19:38:26

Oh no, let's not get into the mathematics of it or the percentages that you may win. It might change the whole geometry of the thread and encourage the "kaos Theory" to be invoked!

My wife is currently doing a Maths degree, might get her help with this new line of punnery.

We seem to have gone off on a tangent,  so I'll have to think of a new angle to come at this from.

I dunno about the wife innovation, it could divide this thread and even prove a negative influence!

yep, it sure is divisive. If one tries to integrate himself into the equation on this thread, others immediately become derrivative. We ought to be more inclusive... if we differentiate ourselves too much from others, it might cLog our rhythm in coming up with puins.

Sorry, some of those are a bit stretched.

Can't rule that out of the equation, HH. Possibly a fraction harsh, tho'.

I'm a believer on khama, what comes around goes around - a bit like a circle. Of course Leeds chris, everyone is welcome to join this thread and add their theory of relativity. whether we mathematically get the numbers is a different thesis.

I'm calmer too, LG. Maturation has that effect, I find...although I can see there are some who are symbols of growing old disgracefully on this pun thread. Still, they wouldn't want to be labelled as square I am sure, and they may yet be to the power of this thread.

Opinions are divided on that one, HH. Still, you may have identified the root of the problem.

Why's that Hard News? Is it cos his skill in the art of delivering puns doesn't even equate to a fraction of that of the rest of ours?

Can you get to the decimal point? For Fractals Sake!! Some of the puns are almost as bad as the proposed Wellington International Airports' Turdimal!Lonegunmen2008-02-20 11:52:30

Bringing the airport into it, eh?

No need to fly off the handle, big man! The thread might be sick but it's far from being terminal. Having said that, I respect your right to air your views even though I remember only too well that some of the Upper Hutt customs are a bit odd. It's plane to see that our topic may have shifted yet again.

To be honest, I can see how the new airport design will pump(kin) many tourist dollars into the economy. It Rocks!

Both rather weak puns, sorry

I think Wellingtons economy will soar as a result of the new airport design. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it took off within the next two years.

Crafty businessmen like Terry Seripisos will make a profit by jumping into the the slipstream of this money maker.

The only negative I can see is some people will be put off Wellington by this large amount of commercialism and they may take-off in search of a new destination.

I'll stoke the embraers and ask when are they Boeing to confirm whether the new design is accepted or not? I'll bet if we get the new airport, new carriers air bus-tling to add Wellington to their destination list.

i am so running or is that flying out of puns. I wasn't really flying off the handle, just trying to sentence some puns, bit like trying to jump start a propeller. Apparently only about 5 people in Wellington like the design so Prendergastly is going ahead with it. listening to the talkback on the radio today, Wellington is about to become the laughing stock. perhaps the Council should bail out. Any parachute payments for non comitting?

Ooh... are we on to Wellington City Council puns now? That could FOSTER some new enthusiasm!! (though I imagine would be short lived as a topic) Leeds_Chris2008-02-21 08:25:40

We are in debt to you, for offering WCC as a topic. This rates increase-ingly as one of the more Rich(ie) ideas (am I out of date with that one?!) you have come up with.

I agree, far better doing it on a National basis than sticking to local issues. This thread is a Labour of love and a lot of other forums must be Green with envy that they haven't got quality input like this.

But not too late to Act on it now, for any newcomers interested. We should Bill this as the premium thread. Doesn't matter whether you prefer to play on the Left of Centre or Right of Centre there is always a position available. We don't even have to put New Zealand First, an international contributer would do (where are you Kiwi Pie?).We could Reform a new Alliance, anything to get quality puns. Pundemonium is becoming a chamberof horrors. Whether it is your first, second or third reading. Is there anyone prepared to be a speaker for this thread at the YF bash? We must be able to whip some sort of speech up?
