Sky UK don't have the rights, hence neither do Sky Aust or NZ.
The only one that has the rights is Setanta which you can get in Oz and the free to air SBS.
SBS only has the rights to the final and one quarter and semi-finals. The rest are delayed.

Sky UK never get the right to the World Cup either, that has never affected us before.
I fully expect every game to be live. Shit will go down if it isn't.

SKY UK and SKY NZ are entirely separate entities, and their content is also consequently unrelated.
I can't believe how wrong Leggy actually is on that matter. It is quite staggering.
Buffy I will come rioting with you if they don't air EVERY GAME LIVE.

This is true. For example in the UK you can clearly see the Big Dipper and use it to locate North, while in NZ it's not that obvious and in the southern part you can't see it at all.
UK only have the Euro on BBC and ITV.
UK only have the Euro on BBC and ITV.
No different to all other tournaments they have.
The only rights to the Euro in this area are Sky Pacific, SBS and Setanta.
When are these people going to evolve into normal tolerant human beings...
Why are you reading the sun?
reading. The Sun.
These words do not go together.
When are these people going to evolve into normal tolerant human beings...
That is quite possibly the most ridiculous article that I have read in recent memory.
Only a couple of weeks to go. EXCITING.
Italy to win it, heard it here first etc.

If they do, I will publicly chew off both my arms.
I just wouldn't be surprised to see teams other than Spain, Netherlands or Germany to win it.
Portugal would be another punt of mine..
Germany for me.

That's a dangerous thing to say EG, especially given the quite mental season we've had and some of the surprise winners across Europe.

If I had to choose someone outside of the favoured three you named, I'd go with France.
Getting quite excited for Euro now, when does it start?
On upsets, I read a good article a few days ago about how Euro is much better than the WC for producing surpise winners. The writer decided that the difference between having to play 6 games and having to play 7 was quite substantial for smaller teams looking to ride their luck a bit to make it to the final.
It was noted that in world cups there are always upsets in the first half of the tournament, but then come semi final time things almost always revert to form. Whereas in Euro a team like Greece in 2004 only has to negotiate four games before they have a sniff at the final, and from there anything can happen.
Anyone have any picks for a real dark horse? Maybe a smaller team with one or two superstars who could play out of their skin and carry a team further than expected?
EURO starts on 8 June (that's early morning 9 June here). Poland v Greece is the opening game.
Think that Poland and Sweden could both do better than expected of them (i.e. get to the quarter at the very least), but can't see a Greece/Denmark type upset winner this time around.
Van Marwijk: We will do everything to win
oh no, does this mean more kung-fu football from the Dutch??
the article is a little less worrying than the headline but they do 'have previous'
this soccernet overview is worth a look imo
claims to be about tactics but more about selections and key players than actual tactics
still, it's better than a poke in the eye with a burnt stick
Quite a few warm-up friendlies on ESPN overnight, there's Brazil v Denmark, Spain v Serbia and Ireland v Bosnia.
Sky now saying 1st game is live (from FB)
Sky's monthly magazine has a feature on the EURO, and states that all the games are live.
But not OFC nations cup, wicked priorities right there sky..

I know about that and I'm not paying.
That fact is that they are going to show a tournament which has nothing to do with New Zealand but won't show the one that does.
What was that about not getting the rights Leggy?
Pull your head in Buffy. I was merely quoting UEFA's own website as to who had the broadcasting rights. In fact if you have a look you will find that they have still not mentioned that NZ have the rights.

Yeah well, we do.

And I'm really pleased that you do. Good for football.
Just saw "England's Worst Football Team Ever" - Terry and Barton of the current crop were in it.

If the team was based on moral rectitude, then yeah, but footballing wise it's a big FAIL: what about turkeys like
Carlton Palmer, Steve Guppy, Seth Johnson, Terry Fenwick, Keith Curle, and Russell Osman? I suppose since
football was invented in 1992 with the Premier League, by extension any bad players must have come from
that era too...
Curle and Palmer made the starting eleven too.
I only saw the last part of it, it was made a couple of years ago I think
