Didn't they already sign a new DMF to replace him? A week or two ago? Pretty sure they did.
They've been busy, 3 or 4 signings already I think?

Mendy is DMF I'm talking about.
Snap!
Icardi being linked to Arsenal again. I reckon he'd be a great fit for them, but I don't want to see him leave inter. If he does join the other players should probably keep him away from their wives and girlfriends...
I'm extremely interested to see how they (Leicester) go, because their scouting set-up is apparently world class.
Now that they've won the league and qualified for the champs league, you would think any of the names their scouts turn up can probably be bought without much hassle - they aren't going for big names etc, looks like they've just identified talent under the radar the same way they got Vardy, Mahrez and Kante.
Will be watching their new signings with great interest.
Imagine the fallout if Leicester wdnt on and won the CL too? Cant see it but who thought they would ever win the EPL. I wonder who they will buy to rep,ace Kante with a promise of CL football?
European gamesmanship coupled with European refs will put a stop to that, imo.

Bang on the money there.
Can you imagine UEFA letting one of their prized assets like Barca or Real losing to Leicester? Don't think so.

Head of that scouting venture, steve walsh, has just accepted terms to become Everton's director of football.
Leicester need to worry about being able to beat the Dynamo Kievs, CSKAs, and Galatasarays of the world before worrying about Barcelona and Real Madrid.

If you're going to say that about Leicester you could say it about anyone.
Apart from the obvious big 3 i don't think they have a reason to fear anybody.

It's a conspiracy!!
Leicester's title run included the fewest injuries of any team in the EPL, and they got knocked out of both domestic cups early. They were able to keep the most settled starting 11 in the league and that meant they were a better team than the sum of their individual players would suggest. They might have a good fitness regime which minimises injuries but a run to the CL final would still be 13 extra games against quality opposition plus the travel. Kante has already gone, Mahrez probably will too, and that would be 2 of their 3 best players gone. I reckon they'll get knocked out in the first ko round and finish about 11th in the PL
Way to ruin the party CT ;)
But yes it was a perfect storm of a season for them last year.
They have bought 5 so far, and will surely sign a few more given the extra games they will have.
If they manage to keep Mahrez that would be a massive boost, but unfortunately I can't see it.

They have a big advantage in being one of the top seeds, but most debutantes - even from the big leagues - find their first up experience of the Champions League quite gruelling, and a back-down-to-earth kind of experience. With a good draw I can see them getting into the first knock-out round, a bad draw and they could be in Europa League or worse.

Agreed EG.
One advantage they have is a Manager that has been there a few times before, which should help.

Bayern probably
Or Arsenal

Definitely a reason to fear Arsenal - we beat them twice in the EPL last year, scoring 7 goals in the process. The rest of the league put together beat them once...

Correct.
Liverpool sign experienced centre-back Ragnar Klavan from FC Augsburg. 140 appearances for them.
Middlesbrough sign Alvaro Negredo from Valencia! Big signing for them.
CONFIRMED | The club has agreed a deal with @valenciacf to bring @AlvaroNegredo_7 to #Boro - https://t.co/T66IUN5Hlw pic.twitter.com/ImtkbspKsb

Big Sam gets the England hot seat? I cant wait to see how this pans out...

Not well.
Rinse and repeat as I expected. Guess Allardyces picking Milners forever really is the future of the national team.
Stoke and LFC agreed on a 14m fee for Allen however, Lucas was injured this morning vs Huddersfield so they may think twice about letting him go now.
That'd be a decent signing for Stoke.
They have quite a good side on paper, with Arnautovic, Bojan, Shaqiri and the likes.
Prem definitely has big money now, right the way down the league.
Boro have signed Valdes and Negredo! Wow.

what a circus... a long ball circus.
Bugger me, that would be quite the change in tactics for Stoke.
England is going to be hilariously bad with Big Sam. Let me relay what's going to happen: England qualify easily for World Cup because even Big Sam can them qualified, that's not an issue; because of their tremendous qualification record the "It's Coming Home" chants and calls resurge only for a pathetic long ball England to not even make the knockout stage because a lack of anything tactically useful—even more useless than New Zealand football tactics.
Then the English media will ask "What's wrong with Rooney?", "What's wrong with [new youngster]?", only for the same pattern to commence for Euro 2020 under Alan Pardew.

How's that different from the previous 20 years?

I don't think many people are expecting much from Allardyce tbf.
Don't confuse what the media portrays to what the general fan thinks. No England fan will hold much hope of Allardyce doing much.
They've been in one final in the last 50 years, so for me Allardyce is about the right level manager - he's a mid-table guy, England are a mid-table team.
He'll achieve no less than the last couple of managers.
In fact I think they've probably got a better chance - he'll at least shut up shop and get them defending half decently. There will be clean sheets.
Just don't think he'll be able to get many goals out of them, mainly because they just don't have much talent in the forwards.
Bugger me, that would be quite the change in tactics for Stoke.
Not sure which thread to put this in, but this one will do. EPL Refs cracking down on dissent
I hate players rushing the ref to complain and carrying on like spoilt brats. Its a terrible look for the game and something that we have got wrong for a very long time. The whistle has gone, now move on. I hope it works. But I'm not holding out for much

I'm so glad they're doing it. I absolutely loath this when it happens - Sanchez is a regular offender for Arsenal and it drives me mental.
Dura does it too...
