Explains it much better that I did...
Liverpool to stay clear of big-money signings in January transfer window
The trick will be getting rid of the likes of Poulsen who once Roy leaves has no place in the team. Also we'll get no money for him so we cut our losses? Sell him to Wolves maybe...
Whose gotta go?
Yeah, Dani seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Is Roy using him as a scapegoat from the Northhampton game? Hmmm, such a shame, I hope he doesn't ruin this kid.

Forgot to come back to this...
Agree with Babel and Poulsen. Maxi needs to stay, the one thing we can't do is completely cull the squad, that would derail us in another direction altogether.
Babel though we can recoup money for him. Birmingham were prepared to about 9m. If we get anything close to that, go for it. Poulsen, take a dollar if you can.
Others:
Aquilani
Degen
El Zhar
Itandje
Aurelio (don't renew contract)
I have to say that the contract extension for Carra really irks me. I love the guy, no doubts, he's been huge for us for many years but he's getting to the point where he shouldn't be a certain starter anymore. Guys like Skrtl and Agger need to be the go to men with Carra and Soto doing the hard yards off the bench (Although i'd have Soto starting right now)
Can you not see Gerrard?
Apparently not. A few journos have admitted they've known about Nando's clause for a few months. It was a result of his 3 day meetings after the world cup.

John Henry Interview Pt 1
A few questions around the new financial fair play, I didn't really know a lot about the new rules but NESV are putting a lot of focus on it and they've said before they wouldn't have bought the club if it was for the rules. Anyway, here's a great article that explains it in layman's terms and how it relates to LFC.
Very import part is the next two transfer windows, if we (or any other club) is going to spend big it has to be in the next two transfer windows as the finances will not be considered when the rules kick in in the 13/14 season.
This also has a big impact on us in a negative light. If clubs want to spend big on the likes of Fernando and Pepe, January and the summer will be their chance for the very reasons above. Do we sell Nando for 50m now knowing that clubs won't be able to offer more than 30m in less than a years time??*
